While I go to a Christian church (not by choice) I find Wicca a lot more interesting. so I would rather say that i am Wiccan rather than a christian.

I identify as an agnostic atheist, which is really what all atheists are unless they outright state that they can prove god does not exist. But yeah I believe various religions and god are both manmade concepts.

Interesting poll though, as would be expected (since the site is very christian friendly) christianity is in the lead, though there's also a bunch of religions you forgot to add like Judaism.

I am a Christian. For most of my life I have been a Christian but for a couple years I was an Atheist. There were some parts of Christianity I was introduced to during those years that didn't make sense to me. Now I understand everything I hear about Christianity since I read the Bible now (unlike most of my life) like Christians are supposed to do.

I am a Buddhist, which is a religion you forgot to include. To be more specific though, I am a Theravada (pronounced terra-VAH-da, translates to "Doctrine of The Elders") Buddhist, which is also known as Hinayana Buddhism (when Mahayana Buddhism became a thing they reffered to Theravada as Hinayana, which was at the time a derogitory term as it translate to "lesser vehicle" while Mahayana translates to "greater vehicle," calling Theravada Hinayana is no longer derogitory though due to it's usage in scholarly settings) or Southern Buddhism (Theravada Buddhism is most practiced in Southern Asia both historically and in modern day). Basically, I live my life according to the guidelines laid out by Buddha in an attempt to avoid unmoral behavior and reject theistic notions as organized religion tends to bring about things which Buddha's teachings seek to remedy. Chief among these things are the ugly and disgusting emotions of hatred and anger.

I was raised Catholic (more by tradition rather than conviction), but now I do not follow any religion. I do not consider myself atheist - I can not say for sure that there is no God - but I am leaning that way. So far there has not been any convincing proof of the existence of ANY god.

Originally I was a Christian, but that was only because my mother forced me to go to church when I was younger.

I'm atheist. That means I don't believe any God or anything like that. But I do respect people with other beliefs.

There really isn't a need to be afraid of a muslim unless he has a 5 foot beard and says he is from ISIS. Yeah, they scare me out too ...

Christianity for me, as I was raised as one but i didn't follow into it until i was in college. The bible really helped me a lot during Art school and helped me understand some things.

haitamchouiekh : I'm not sure who you're talking about. I haven't seen any "Islamophobics" on Vizzed... I hope you're not making the mistake of believing society's idea that one is afraid of or hates someone just because they disagree with them. I don't agree with your religion for example, but I have no fear of, nor hatred for you. I hope you can say the same of me, a Christian.


I can't really see lumping all "Christian" religions into a single category, but for simplicity's sake, I'll just leave it at that. I'm a Christian.

Eirinn : Thanks, yes i know, but i am just saying rascism exists ... i know you respect for who i am, and i appreciate that and i respect you too, and have no hate towards you or any other christian or religion. My point was to say if anyone has a problem with that keep it to yourself.
I also don't know any islamophobics on vizzed, but there are millions of members on vizzed and who knows, are they going to come to you tell you that they are islamophobic. Anyways let's just forget about the islamophobia thing.

I agree with Eirinn, there are far too many "Christians" for me to jump headfirst into the category. A lot of people claim Christianity, but a lot fewer actually understand what it's about.

That said, I am a Christian. I'm thankful to be one of the relatively few who actually know what that means (feel free to ask if you're not sure).

Can you edit polls? You forgot to include Hindu and Buddhist and ancient Greek and Roman.

haitamchouiekh: I hate Islamophobes. I've gotten to know you a little, but also some of my very best friends on this website in the past have been Muslim. And they're great, very kind, funny, humane people. Not terrorists. How much percent of Muslims are terrorists? Not a lot. So for an Islamophobe to be afraid of almost/all any Muslim they see is ridiculous.

Chindogu : The religion I want to be true the most is Buddhism. I definitely am Christian, but I am interested in everything about Buddhism. Buddha's teachings probably have the most meaning of any of the main religions to me. Also reincarnation is awesome.

I am a Christian, but I don't think about it much. I'm not active, I don't go to church, I hardly ever pray, but I still believe the general idea that all Christians believe in (God and Jesus). Perhaps I am Catholic, perhaps I am Protestant. I have not decided yet.

I'm an atheist because I've read the bible and all of the horrible things taught in it. I was an un-practicing christian until fourteen through sixteen, I can't remember the exact age since it was twenty years ago but then I had the realization that things didn't add up and the world was very messed up for being a "paradise created for humans."

I'm pretty against religion but I don't talk about it unless someone brings it up or is spamming my Facebook with religious posts. The Bible Belt is incredibly not friendly towards atheists and we're the only people hated more than Islamists and Satanists.

I have some beliefs in the god, but not enough to actually consider myself a christian because there is no evidence pointing out that he existed whatsoever. 

"Christian" is a very broad category nowadays. Islam is still pretty unified compared to the amount we tolerate in Christianity. Could you ever imagine a muslim saying, "I'm muslim, but I totally don't believe in the Quran"? Of course not.

I'm a Catholic. Which is a Christian domination. So I voted for Christianity.
