Oh good, this series is finally coming to an end?

I've heard of shovelware, but christ almighty, the first game came out LAST YEAR.

I get some things (like Life is Strange, which is amazing) announce themselves as episodic games, but last I checked, the creator didn't plan to make a second one until the first one gained massive mainstream popularity.

I can't wait for people to talk about something else.

I know I first saw it from Johnny on SGB and I am thinking oh great another one (sarcasm over loads) but this time Scott is taking it slow. Also it can't be coincidence that Game theory and Johnny did a FNAF video yesterday then today FNAF 4 is announced.

It's fun to discuss both positives and negatives within the series. A community wide circle jerk over over-hyped shovelware isn't fun.

Lunar, this thread was supposed to be for people to discuss about their opinions on the last fnaf game being made, am I right? Well, there can be negative comments as well. The thing that makes them flame or spam is if it's directed at another user, or adds nothing to the thread. I didn't really see that with the replies.

Okay, time to get on topic. Every game series needs an end eventually (yes, even Mario. Well, for a while at least). So, I am pretty neutral on the whole matter. I'm a fnaf fan, but nothing more. The thing that I like the most is the lore. The gameplay is fun too, but it's not the high point for me. So, having the last game announced makes me feel like the whole deal with Freddy and the pizzeria will be solved, for better or for worse. That's gonna be fun .

P.S.- How come my post is the only (semi) positive one, lol.

I only care about this game to see how much of a frenzy markipliers videos go into. I can't wait to see them. Im not going to play the game or watch other videos, that's all that I care about.

legacyme3 : When the first one was released back in October 2014, we all though it was just going to be a Halloween gimmick (like how some games and apps goes with a holiday), but it turned out, we got 2 more games released during non-Halloween times, and a 4th one being released on Halloween 2015. A lot says this will be it, but more likely the Freddy fanbase will go one for a long time after the 4th game.

For me, I don't have much of any issues with the Freddy fanbase vs. some other fanbase, but to avoid starting a flame, I won't say what fanbase,

All I have to say is

So I will bet 10,000 Viz that if this game does well they're will be a sequel... Offers open to 5 people... And by sequel I mean another FNAF is released within a year of the release of this one....

It's a very basic game that was hyped to no end by youtuber's and kids who think that jump scares are entertaining.. I mean I will give the first one credit for actually being a semi decent game.. But you can tell 2 and 3 are rushed... especially when sometimes the game can't be won because it feels like it... 

The sooner people move onto games that actually don't come across as shovel ware the better.

I mean there's probably been a bunch of Solid Indie games that have been totally ignored due to this massive "Hype" from the screaming masses

I will give credit to the creator though.. He took a complete failure and turned it into something that was profitable.. So kudos to him.

Personally, I'm addicted to FNAF in terms of theories and story, but I don't like the game itself. It relies heavily on sound and I'm hearing impaired, so one can say the game is more scary and harder at my expense.

LunarDarkness2 : I don't see what's wrong with simply sharing your opinion, like leggy said what's the point if only people reply about how much they love the seies there isn't really much of a discussion to be gained from that, and it really just ends up being more a giant circlejerk.

It's one thing if he's attacking the fanbase but he isn't, he's simply stating why that he doesn't like the games.


As for my opinion I agree with a lot of other people on here, personally I thought 1 was good, 2 was rushed and seemed a lot like a cash in but seemed somewhat okay and anything after that is shovelware in my opinion. The developer seems like he's simply milking the fanbase. Honestly if you can get into the story and like the games, then good for you but personally I thought that one game in the series was enough.

The games have had very short release cycles often seeming rushed and riding on the first games popularity in terms of gameplay more or less being the same with just a few differences really not making a sequel seem worth it to me. As for the story, I don't really see there being much of one, instead you're left to try to piece  some kind of coherrent story together. While I think that can work sometimes honestly it seems more like him being too lazy to write some kind of story and passing that off as "leaving it open to the player".

Number 3 isn't even fair, sometimes you're left completely helpless and at the mercy of the random number generator on wheter springtrap will show up or not.
