Rasenganfan2 : the mucus plug is what keeps the water from coming out of the uterus. It plugs up the cervix (entrance between uterus and vagina) so that nothing goes in or out. Now that the mucus plug is out that means the baby can come out .

The water breaking is a different thing. That is when the membrane surrounding the baby bursts. It is a separate layer of protection from the mucus plug.

Rasenganfan2 : Yeah it's gross but thankfully I didn't have to see it. I'm actually afraid to sleep to close to my wife at night when we sleep, I'd hate for her water to break on me lol.


We've been playing a lot of Halo 3 ODST Firefight to make time go by (not much else to do at this point), it really helps but we take breaks once in a while since she get sore pretty quick.

Is she having any contractions? Is she doing any walking or anything else physically active? I know she won't be able to do much.... but sitting around all day won't help the baby come. Gotta loosen those hip joints.

Isn't it that the longer the baby stays in, the more psychic powers it gets? So if you leave the baby in a month or two extra, it can read minds? LOL I guess I just watch too much science fiction. The only way for that to work would be if the woman carrying it had like, 60 inch around hips.

I hope everything all works out though Just think that the extra days are making the baby smarter or something, and she'll end up being a super genius! I think Annette was a really late birth too, and when her mother finally went into labor, Annette fell asleep during delivery and they had to suck her out with a Vacuum. She also pooed inside the birth canal on her way out, LOL

I hope everything goes well, keep us posted!
