I can't seem to download the Visual C++ file. It just tells me there is an error

I just downloaded Firefox and I downloaded the RGR Plugin 2.41 and I exited Firefox, restarted my computer and then went back in.  However, every time I go to play Pokémon Yellow, it says I need to download the RGR Plugin 2.41 again, even though I literally just did that...help...

Cauã : If you update to the newest version by running the installer, you shouldn't lose any files.

bluchini12 : What version of Firefox are you using? Also, make sure to go into your "addons" settings in firefox and make sure that the Vizzed Retro Game room plugin is set to "always activate"

That usually fixes the problem for most people.

utnrize : Are you getting an error of some sort? If not, I would try downloading again.

Jordanv78 : Thanks for helping me! The way to not lose any files is easy first don't uninstall your older version,download and install the newest version and it will check were to download the folder if you have a older version folder install that folder to the older and the folder will be updated by the newest version without deleting any files! Anyway thanks for helping me Jordan! (Edit) It also will update the version so you don't have any troubles uninstalling the older version so that's all of the edit!

I'm having some trouble with the new vizzed downloads, I've installed and un installed all old downloads and I've also installed the new one more than once and went back to 2.40 and used that. I am using Mozilla Firefox and Chrome and neither one will play games. If you know of anything to help please let me know

Cauã : No problem at all. I'm always happy to help. You can always save your "Save state" folder to another spot on your hard drive. That way you always have a backup of your saves, in case something happens to your Computer, or if you want to continue your games on another computer.

stormslayer66: Sorry for the trouble you are having. What version of windows are you running? What's the problem you are having with regards to installing the program?

Davideo7 : Hey there again! I've just realized that the plugin is good,but instead of that there is some error in the N64 emulators that i'm using, the only N64 emulator i use is Mupen64 but it seen to not be working well so,when you make a new version of the plugin can you please fix the graphics error? Because is now that i begin playing Super Smash Bros. and i really want to pass all the special stages without a graphical error. So do you know how do i fix it? Because i'm not  too professional in resolving graphics errors so make sure that you make a new update that fix that ok? Thanks for reading this Davideo7... Hi Davideo7, I'm having difficulties with version 2.41. The Shockwave Flash plugin on Chrome version 47 is not working now. It was working fine before this error started happening. Please help me.

Hi, Davideo7. When I downloaded the latest version of Vizzed RGR plugin (2.41), I tried loading a few games (default browser is Firefox) but it always says "emulator closed" at the bottom of the game screen. Is there a way to open the closed emulator so I can play games?

RySan : Have you tried to see if this problem still happens when using a different browser? Is this problem just happening with Gameboy advanced games, or all games?

I would first start by fully un-installing the RGR plugin, then re-installing using the newest version.

PiotrGrochowski : That's probably not going to happen sadly as we are not Emulator developers. We use already existing OPEN SOURCE emulators to work in conjunction with the RGR plugin. There's a ton of already available Android Emulators though.

Cjamesdixie01 : I use Chrome as well and everything should work fine. I would suggest updating Chrome to the newest version, 48.0.2564.82

Cauã : Sadly, there's not much we can do in that regard. This is one of those games that just doesn't emulate well. You can try messing with the different video plugins "Top right corner" and see if that helps you at all.

AVG, while I was installing it, detected a threat. I looked at it and it said that three threats were removed. I installed the most recent edition of the Plugin, I have AVG Anti-Virus Protection - free version -, I have Windows 7, 64-bit edition, and I use Chrome. I finished the installation and attempted to play a game - the Plugin was not recognized as installed. I have removed the Plugin. Can someone please explain why AVG is of the opinion that there are threats within the Plugin? 

Jordanv78 : I tried uninstalling and re-installing the latest version of the plugin, changing browsers, and even restarting my computer, but it still says the emulator is closed when I try to open a game. Does it have something to do with the connection settings by clicking on the globe on the top-left corner of the separate game window?

Terrace : This is common with free anti-virus software programs falsely claiming that .msi programs are viruses because they make changes to windows registry. The plugin is 100% safe. I've never had one issue with the plugin and we wouldn't release a program that knowingly had a virus on it.

RySan : I'm confused on what you are referring to with the globe. But the plugin should be set to always allow. Chrome and Firefox work best with the plugin, generally speaking. What version of windows are you running?

Is the problem the same no matter which console games you open?

I was just curious about the globe settings, that's all. I'm running windows 8, which worked for me in the past but for some reason doesn't want to work now.

Jordanv78 : Did you say.. Android emulator for Android? That's still not what I wanted. I want Vizzed RGR for Android.
Spellcheck says the site's name is spelled Vi zed. 

RySan : I'm not quite sure at this point, why it wouldn't be working if everything is installed properly. I would first make sure that everything is installed correctly. Basically try uninstalling and re-installing.

PiotrGrochowski : I understand what you said. I was saying that it probably won't happen with regards to being able to play games via Android in the RGR with your mobile device.

The site is perfectly compatible with mobile, just not in regards to playing games.

Cauã : What I'm saying is that the N64 emulator MUPEN has different video plugins that you can choose from in the upper right hand corner of the game window, "Plugins: Rice, Arachnoid, Glide64" Sometimes messing with these can provide better results. Sometimes they don't. Worth a shot anyways.

Jordanv78 : Oh....i forget i forgeted about that sorry but thanks for reminding me that but read this:I tried to play Kirby 64 with the others emulators but it's still having graphical errors but that's ok i like to play a game like that way it's sounds fun! (edited because it would spell "but thanks reminding me" so whatever it has or it would spell strange seriously)
