But yes, Flash being obsolete may well make the plugin useless, unless the emulators use Java instead of Flash. Have you tried the Retroarch emulator? That doesn't need the plugin.

Digifiend : I've gone and manually installed every vc+ from 2010 and all the updates the x86 and x64 versions all the way to 2019 with it still saying the same thing about not having the visual c libraries installed. Mind you I don't have flash on this pc like I do my main pc. So that may be the difference but I'm starting to think your right with flash being gone the plugin may no longer work.

Davideo7 : i have a windows 11 and was able to download the update to the plugin but the plugin itself will not download and i do have the vc++ already installed i am at a loss as to how to get it to work it does not pick up on the fact that i already have runtime installed and keeps telling me that it isnt. i hope you are able to fix this i really love this site and would love to play older games again.

So first off, the VC++ issue, you can fix this error by going to majorgeeks and looking for an AIO (all in one) file that holds all the redistributables of VC++ in it. There's a really nice one https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/visual_c_redistributable_runtimes_aio_repack.html over here. This is the one my father used to get his working.

Now, there's another problem you might run into (which I ran into as well) and that is a "Error writing temporary file, Make sure your temp folder is valid"

This problem plagued both me and my father, but I managed to find a way to fix it, and it was a bit of a shocker how easy it was after stumbling around ways to fix it online (and all of them not working.)

I just reinstalled and it worked perfectly. But you HAVE TO do it the correct way, don't cut corners.

  • Close all browsers
  • Use the uninstall option inside the vizzed app folder (the one with 4 shortcuts in it) You can find it by right clicking the vizzed retro game room app tab and opening the folder location. DELETE ALL ROMS TOO. Yes you'll be downloading the program again but this is a total/fresh re-install.
  • Use a program to clear your registries if you have one. I have CCleaner.
  • Restart computer
  • Reinstall the first part of the vizzed plugin
  • Use the second part of the plugin install to repair the 2022+ plugin update.
  • Restart immediately, do not open a browser (just in case)

This got my rgr plugin working correctly.

Update 3/28/2024

I had to do a factory reset due to some unfortunate circumstances (faulty component crashed the PC to a permanent blue-screen.)

As of writing this update I've been unable to get Vizzed RGR to work unfortunately. My previous route has ben unsuccessful, as the RGR plugin update 2023+.msi sends me to a website page that merely says "cannot read, the file has been moved, edited or deleted".

Effectively, at least for me, Vizzed RGR plugin has become unusable, which sucks to say because it worked great prior to needing to reinstall again. the process I stated before is pretty straight forward (and ultimately the proper way to do a total-reinstall) and should ultimately fix a lot of issues... but in my case I'm S.O.L at this point. :c

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.
