Alphajax is a fun little windows phone word unscrambling game that's a lot like a replica of scrabble but its a cool game. I was introduced to this game by David himself a few months ago and I played for a bit before stopping and playing every now and then. The game is simple and it can take a lot of waiting because you need to wait for other players to respond to your moves but its still a fun game meant to waste away some of your time.
GRAPHICS 6/10
Its really just a board game so there isn't much needed, all you see is is the board and the tiles and that's all that's there. Its a board game though so nothing big is needed as there are no special effects of anything and adding some would probably make the game slow anyway so its fine the way it is. My grade for the graphics aspect of the game is going to be a 6 out of 10.
SOUND 5/10
I wouldn't really say that there's much sound at all, maybe there's less good sound as there are graphics in this game because there just isn't that much. Like the graphics, its not really needed but I think more of an effort could have been put into this. There are some sounds of course scattered throughout the game but in my opinion, none of them really matter or play any part in how much I like the game and my grade for this aspect is going to be a 5 out of 10.
ADDICTIVENESS 8/10
I used to play scrabble all the time back in the day and I always used to have so much fun with it and thus game is no different since its pretty much the same thing. With this one you get to start a match with pretty much anyone around the world and you each take a turn. I think being able to play with anyone and making your move whenever gives this game a slight advantage over scrabble because I really like this form of multiplayer. I remember at one point I had more than 20 different games going on at the same time and that wasn't enough for me because I was having so much fun. This is a game you want to play many times and my addictiveness grade will be an 8 out of 10.

There's no story whatsoever in a game like this one, its based on a board game and the only thing you can do is use your letter tiles along with tiles that are already on the board to make words and score points. The person who has the most points once all the tiles are gone is the winner, but that's all there is, there's no story so I won't give this a grade.
DEPTH 6/10
The game has some amount of depth, just being able to play with people all over the world should be able to count as some of the depth and then there's also all sorts of achievements foe you to play for and I believe there's different kinds of game modes for different skill levels and such which is pretty cool. However, there's really nothing else after that when it comes to depth again since its just really a board game and my grade for depth will be a 6 out of 10.

Yes, the game can actually be very difficult and you need just as much luck as skill when playing this. First off, you need luck to make sure you get good pieces, you need luck for the other guy to put down pieces in a way that will help you. You also need to actually know some good words or you will be stuck putting down small words that aren't worth anything and you will probably lose. The game will also take a really long time so you need A LOT of patience. The game runs by each turn, so games could take a couple of days or even longer to finish so my grade will be a 6.

Overall, Alphajax is a nice little remake of Scrabble with a few new features that make it unique and worth playing. If you like Scrabble then I suggest you play this on your windows phone and play as many games as you can because if you're good, you could end up having a lot of fun, if you're not so good you could still get addicted.
