Do you have allergies a lot? Maybe you have them at certain times a year or hopefully there is somebody that has it more than just once a year. My allergies are so bad that I had to go on medication for it. I still sneeze a lot even with medication. It sucks really but there is nothing that I can really do about it. Mine started to get worse when I turned 18 and I had to go on medication around age 19 I believe not to long ago.. so tell me do you have any problems with it?

Long haired cats.  I'm fine around short haired cats, but long haired cats for some reason just make me a wreck.  I have friends who have to put their cat away when I come over and still it's hard to even be in their house for more than an hour or so.

I have a "Selective" allergy to chocollate, as in I can have some products that have chocollate in them, but if I have pure chocollate anything, or anything that has pure chocollate in it without other stuff, then I find myself getting really really sick and it hurts me a lot.

I have bi-seasonal allergies : to trees in the spring and (to a lesser strength) to weeds in the late summer. Although suprinsingly this spring, and despite high levels of pollen, I haven't been as congested as past years. I wonder if that paleo diet DOES help the body...

Anyway for seasonal allergies I strongly recommend Allegra. It's been the most effective medicine so far

I have year-round allergies, unfortunately. It seems I'm allergic to everything that grows and winter air in general.

Sure sign that spring is here now: Yesterday morning I woke UP with a nosebleed that wouldn't quit thanks to being out in the air all day the day before. I was miserable all day because of it. Not much better today, honestly, but at least no more nosebleed.  I'm on medication for allergies, including an inhaler because YAY ASTHMA ON TOP OF IT!...but the new meds I'm on right now are going to have to be changed.

It seems that I am actually ALLERGIC to my new allergy medication, can you believe it?  I'm on flonase prescription, but pretty sure I'm going to have to go back to xyzal. I've used this stuff for two weeks and I've also run a fever and felt like I've had the flu for a week of it. Guess what some of the allergic-reaction side-effects of this stuff is? You guessed it. :/

Luckily I don't have really bad allergies. There are some people that I know in real life who have bad allergies though.

Yunimori : WOW that's terrible! I hope that you'll be able to find some allergy medication that you aren't allergic to soon.

gamerforlifeforever2 : You and me both. Thank you, though. I hope I find something too, if I don't get put back on xyzal. That was good, it just tends to make me never want to eat...which is a bit of a problem, but better than the mess I'm going through right now. XD; I can force myself to eat. I can't force myself to not run a fever.

When I was younger I seem to look like I had it maybe I didn't, but I remember I use to sneeze and it was bad at times. So I tried different things like humidifiers, over the counter medicine, think there is a thing like a allergy shot, well anyway. I tried all type of things or different things like better soaps, better deodorant, eating healthier, cleaning the room or house from dust. And a few other things like not using cold fans or fans that make your nose run, better fan that does not mess with my nose still cool enough to keep me cool. Always staying in good temperatures and wear appropriate clothing. But the thing I notice that help the most is keeping myself from sneezing for some strange reason I think it inflamed my sinuses or swollen or irritated all that sneezing. My teacher in the past said you shouldn't block your sneezes or I thought I heard you shouldn't block your sneezes, but every since I tried find ways to block me sneezing my nose is alot better now.  My nose barely bothers me anymore every since coming different ways to block my sneezes. Also if I blow my nose I don't blow too hard. I blow my nose comfortably if I need to blow my nose that also helps me. I wouldn't ask anyone to try these things, but it worked for me.

I have a few allergies that bother me throughout the year. Dust, smoke, cats and sometimes blueberries. Sometimes if they get really bad, my allergies trigger an asthma attack. My allergy to cats can get pretty bad from time to time, but I've never bothered taking any kind of medication for it.

My Aunt and Uncle have this cat, a nebelung. It has extremely fine, long, silky fur. I had to spend a few days at their house, cat sitting. I had just picked up an inhaler the day before, which had 200 doses. That cat's fur triggered my allergies so badly, I used every dose in that inhaler in 2 and a half days because I couldn't breathe. Usually they last me a month or more. My eyes were swollen and I had hives all over my throat and arms. I think that's the worst my allergies have ever really gotten. That was two years ago, and I haven't been to their house since. I just can't handle the cat.

In the spring, after the snow has melted and all the sand is still on the roads, my allergies can get pretty bad too.

Yeah, having allergies really sucks but its sort of a way of life for me. Its about that time of year where here down south, the pollen count is absolutely ridiculous, which also means its allergy season. Every year I get sick with them at the same time ( usually about the time winter starts turning to spring ).

In my case, of course there's nothing to do about it but there is a way to cope with it for me. I can't do anything about it during the day, but that doesn't really affect me at all...usually because I'm too busy with my job. But I can still sleep while having these horrible allergies simply by taking NyQuil. It puts me right to sleep no matter what is going on with my body. I also wear a mask every time I mow the lawn, which has helped as well.

Fishergirl7 : My best advice to you (at least for pollen allergy) is to take Allegra or its generic brand (it contains 60 mg of the active ingredient). It's been the most effective medication so far and it's doesn't cause drowsiness.

As for cats... I don't know if I have an allergy - I seem to be more congested at home where we have one - but cleaning up regularly is a must. Cats lose hairs more than dogs and you can easily create a cat out of the hair you can vacuum after one or two weeks.

Usually, I'll have seasonal allergies, especially to cottonwood trees. When they start shedding, my allergies always act up. Thinking about getting vaccinated for those, but not too sure as of this point.

I usually have horrible allergies during the Spring and Summer, but I'm fine during Fall and Winter. A couple years ago, I started to take pills to relieve my allergies. First, I took Claritin, which after a few months didn't work anymore. Then I took Zyrtec, which also didn't work after taking it for about a year. Now I take Allegra, which has worked very well so far.

Ever since I began my beach trip in June, I haven't had to take a single allergy pill and I haven't had much allergies, just the occasional round of sneezes. I can easily get tired after sneezing a lot so it's very bothersome when I sneeze a lot.

I actually had them pretty bad when I was a kid and used to have to take Benadryl. Which I hate because it makes me drowsy but I still can't sleep. Thankfully though as I got older I kind of grew out of them. I think part of it was getting out of my parent's house. My mom smoked. For 40 years. Now she has to be on oxygen 24/7 and do two breathing treatments a day. So light up kids.

I get allergies year round. It very bad during spring and summer obviously because of all the pollen in the air. Fall and winter isn't that bad.

I'm a bit allergic to cats, their hair I believe. It's nothing that bad but my nose itches when I'm close to them. I don't have any reactions to dogs, luckily, so I can still get a dog in the future ~

I am allergic to trees, cats (I still have two of them though) grass, flowers, perfume, dust, dogs, most soap, wool, my own hair, and hay. And no matter how much or what allergy medication they still bother me But taking a shower almost always helps.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
