About Harvest Moon

Harvest moon is a classic video game franchise that revolves around the player restoring a farm. The player is to restore the farm by clearing the land, planting crops, and then proceeding to take care of those crops, taking care of farm animals, and last, but definitely not least, doing stuff for the harvest sprites and Harvest Goddess. Their is magic and fantasy involved, but it usually isn't as forced. At least not forced in the older games. Usually you want to talk, and get to know the people of the town, gather recipes, join festivals, fishing, exploring the wildlife, doing part time jobs, and so much more is involved.

Plot of the RP

The town of Yalo has had issues with connecting with the outside world. Their crops, items, and other utilities aren't up to standard on the tourist, or trading factor, No matter how hard the town has tried, something is wrong with the soil; the land seems dim. Lots of the town members have left in search for a better place to live. There are few left in hopes somebody will come to town and brighten it to a prosperous home.

Little do they know that the harvest goddess is sick, and needs the belief of the people in the town to restore her. All the people must work together in order to create a happy town.

Setting

The map of the town will be made when everyone needed joins. It will be a town next to a small forest, and a lake or pond. Maybe a river and some mountains. Of coarse this won't look as pretty as it sounds when it starts.

Rules of the RP
Please Note that this is not to go against the main rules of the site, and only applies to the RP that goes to this setup

Before you join in READ The Rules of the forum: Official RP Rules and Forum Rule

No Godmodding, mary sues/ Gary Sues, Powerplaying. mini modding, spamming, wall posting, double posting, and most of all bashing on other characters or people.

Posting size must be at least a paragraph, three to five full sentences. I would prefer more then that, but if your not as good and need the practice, I won't push you to hard.

Everyone must be included, don't leave anybody out even if your character is an Isolated type, somebody has to make him/her involved by at least noticing them if they're near by your character. This also counts for that character. Don't always be in the shadows or in your house doing nothing.

Don't take IC actions personally. This is just the characters interacting and the role-player probably means no hostility towards you.

There will be a post order. A post order is when we take turns posting, turn by turn. This is so nobody gets left out due to school or other things. If they don't post in a couple of days when it's their turn. the next person will be allowed to go. About seventy-two hours from the last post. If you wish to be skipped. Post here rather then the rp thread so that we keep all posts relatively IC. OOC is fine in the rp thread but keep it in parenthesis.

You can have up to 2 characters that you control. Their will be also be NPC's that everyone is allowed to play as. Such as the goddess, and maybe the mayor... if the town has one 3, but these characters aren't to be played unless needed.

Make sure to hit that add to favorites so your notified of all the posts in the thread to keep updated on the characters and plot. its at the bottom right of the thread page, next to RSS feed and above the Add poll button, and is a little hard to see. Do so on the actual Rp as well.

Last is that you must fill out a form for your character to join. This character will be shown to everyone in the rp. Note that these rules apply to the Rp thread not here. This is just to keep everything sorted and easy to do in the full rp. We can plan and adjust before we start.

We will be doing a day by day system like in the game. The day can be ended by anybody, but everyone in the thread must at least post twice, one of the posts having something they would be doing about nightfall whether it's bed, working through the night, going to the bar etc.

Marriage is acceptable as well as coupling with another user. Understand you must have that user's permission as well as the characters permission to move on with the relationship. This is done by in rp actions (asking while giving a gift perferably) There will be blue feather that will have requirements to get as well.

Usually NPC stands for non playable character. This will be characters that everyone roleplays at needed times, but only when they feel they need to roleplay the character. If they would rather Roleplay the character as their own. they are more then willing to take the position and adjust the character how they see fit.

Marriageable :: Yes, but I'm going to be picky. also note that it will probably be WAY later considering how young he is, but it's possible to marry him.
Personality :: Rough tough going, calm, and cool attitude. Has a bit of a cold shoulder towards people as he feels he needs to be alone, but likes it when others notice his hard work. He finds that he must do everything himself, and that there is a sense of justice in the world, but feels that sometimes things must be left to themselves. He isn't social, but attends festivals just to take care of the town. He wants the town to grow and prosper but doesn't show it. He also knows of the Harvest goddess more then others seem to believe.
Characteristics ::
medium black hair with a ponytail and dark grey-blue eyes. His clothing usually consists of a button up long sleeve shirt with vertical lines. Blue jeans, work boots, and a good old ten gallon hat that he doesn't wear out in town.
Other :: Not much is known about him other then he has been on his property for a long time. His family is no longer living on the property as they left in order to find a better home. He keeps in contact with them by letter, and rare visits from them to the farm.

Personality :: Shy, quiet, and a bit lonely, He will often try to join the crowd or get into a conversation with someone else but it ends of being completely awkward and/or weird. He likes strange things and is often attracted to things people may not like. He prefers to be around people, and thus why he works where there is people all the time. Candy prefers to use nicknames and tries his best all the time, but is a bit of a klutz and is always a bit worried.

Characteristics :: Candy is rather short for a man of his age- Only standing at 5' 4" inches- the average size of a woman. He has short blond hair that is frilled up at the side and sometimes the end of his hair looks curled. He has bright amber eyes and is pale. He will usually be seen wearing his uniform as he is dedicated to his job, but from time to time, he will be wearing a white or light brown button up jacket were the buttons are on the far right side, has a solid color and cuffs at the end of his sleeves, skinny jeans and black or light brown shoes. In the fall and winter he is wearing a purple and white plaid scarf, and a white ushanka. 

Other :: He absolutely hates the cold and emptiness. Snow is quite uncomfortable for him, and it's why he wears warm clothing all the time. He is also often writing down notes when it comes to recipes.

Characteristics: Somewhat tall, black hair that reaches his shoulder and blue eyes, not muscular but not scrawny, keeps a ring on his left hand, wears plad shirts and jeans, scars on right arm and right side of his neck.
Other: He found himself injured on the mountain with no memory of his past. He limped into the town and got fixed up. All he has left of his past is a ring on his left hand
(Presumably married) and a card with a strange symbol on it. He goes up the mountain trying to get a memory of his past. Also has phobias of needles and drowning.

Personality: Living embodiment of the phrase "Laughter is the best medicine." Constantly goofing off, he goes to all the festivals, goes drinking on the weekends, and does random things to bring everyone's spirits up.
Characteristics: Somewhat scrawny, his clothes look big and baggy on him. He wears a button up red shirt, black dress pants, a white lab coat, and always have a pencil on his ear. He has brown hair and eyes.
Other: Growing up, he was the family doctor, pulling out splinters and occasionally sewing up deep cuts. He used to look up to his older brother, who died from a rare illness. He became a doctor and moved to the town for a fresh start.

Question about Tony, is he going to be the main farmer? can see the harvest sprites, and has a main role in connecting the harvest goddess to the people. or is he just going to be like the supporter farmer that helps the main farmer get started? I presume he's the main farmer due to him suddenly appearing in town. I just want to make sure. By the way I have no problem with it if you are.

Residence :: Near wherever the town telephone and cafe are. She loves ordering from the weekly tv show about cooking utensils but never really has the time to actually cook. Instead, she just eats at the cafe.

Marriageable :: Yes. If not married, she will completely leave the town after 2 years. If married before 2 years had passed, then after 2 years, she will be back in town every weekends(and festivities) and away during weekdays due to work. In the span of 2 years, she will be completely in town except for Sundays since she'll be reporting to her superior.

Personality :: She's outgoing and friendly. She loves exploring nature and taking care of animals. She is kind but can be quite harshly frank specially if people don't go straight to the point about important matters. She doesn't like Summer (the season) due to the heat. She doesn't pick up cues right away, not even the most obvious winks and nudges.

Characteristics :: She's usually seen wearing her white coat (knee-length doctor's coat), carrying her black animal kit box. Underneath the coat is a plain casual black shirt and gray jeans. She has dark brown hair and hazel eyes, 5'3" in height.

Other :: Tamara has been mainly into wild life conservation, becoming a vet to protect animals and check their well being. She had also been involved in a riding club as a temporary resident veterinarian as per request of a friend to take care of their horses for a year. Given the mix of wild life and domesticated animal vet background, she suddenly got interested about a town's problem concerning the low quality of goods produced from plants and animals, and accepted the offer to stay there for the time being (2 years max) under the request of her superior from an urban city in order to investigate and help the villagers take care of the animals. She makes the animal medicines and gives them to those who sell livestocks (poultry farm, ranch). She doesn't sell directly to farmers.

Marriageable :: Yes, but she has a strict schedule that if you do want to marry her you are going to have to follow it. Leaves the town every Monday and Thursday to go into the city to meet with her family and get more supplies. On Saturday the shop is closed at 10AM you can see her leave it going into the wilderness to explore. after year 2 summer 10 she leaves the town completely. If you do get to marry her she will keep her normal schedule. The shop's schedule is 9AM-5PM

Personality :: Tsundere type: Cold and harsh to everyone until she will slowly start to warm up to them. Plays the Violin and sings but only to the animals and plants. 

Characteristics :: Has long brownish black hair. wears a blue hairband with a heart on the left side, white t-shirt with a purple collar while wearing a small brown jacket like coat with a yellow collar over it. A blue skirt with knee high dark-blue socks and blue slipper shoes. Has grey eyes and usually has bags from staying up all night she is 5"7 in height.

Other :: Sehia never did have friends as child all she had was her horse and cat. Her parents never knew what do with her so they sent her to music school where she finally made a few friends and she loved to play songs with them but after that her friends died so did her parents so once again she went into her shell never to open up again?

Residence :: She lives on the chicken farm that's near the town. It's a small chicken farm and the chickens are well taken care of.

Personality ::
Natalie is outgoing and she loves animals a lot. She is very kind, sweet and generous. Natalie is a bit of a tomboy; a little like Ann from Harvest Moon back to nature. The only difference is that she isn't tough and straightforward like Ann. She's more soft spoken and sweet. She loves to work hard and get her hands dirty. She cares about her chickens a lot.
Characteristics ::
Natalie has orange hair tied up in a braid. She wears a jumper and thick gloves. She has a small belt pack which she wears to her side. Her eyes are a deep and beautiful emerald green. She would rather wear something that's more comfortable rather than something that's stylish.

She lived with her grand father and learned how to raise chickens. She had a very close bond with her grandfather until he passed away when she was 18 and left her his farm. She now vows to take care of the small chicken farm in the hopes of one day turning it into a grander farm for her grandfather.
