I'm not sure if this is common or not...But I've made a bunch of threads...This one makes 95 to be exact. Maybe some people do not think that is a lot, but I thought its a pretty good amount. Okay, granted about 20 of those are reviews and game guides. But still for the most part, I don't get very many replies. Is it because my threads are no good? Lack of Interest? Bad topic? I mean, even a lot of my polls did not go very well...Is this a common problem, or is this not a problem, and I'm just overreacting? Am I just that boring? A little help, please?

Edit: 24 reviews and 7 game guides. 31 total. But that still leaves 64 threads.

It's most likely not that the threads you make are no good or bad, it's probably more to do with that there is typically a thread created similar to it or the question at one time has been asked and responded to multiple times already, or a variance thereof by the user-base, in any forum that's existed this length of time.

So no, I don't think it has anything to do with you, rather it takes a more overly exceptional concept and well executed format in which it's delivers to have many reply's or an ongoing and continuing response pattern.

There are exceptions to this of course, but I won't overly digress into those at this time.

As for help on the matter, my recommendations would be the following:

- Emphasize quality of posts and regard to whom of like mind that you wish to have responses from.

-  Try to bring a new and clear view as to the topic at hand, it may have been done in one fashion at some point, but not all views have been said 100% or can generate interest if it was delivers in an thought of manner previously by some other user.

-  The Most Important Concept is the ones you personally enjoy or have express interest in discussing,  others of like mind will read it thoroughly and most likely respond.

Even should few respond, it doesn't give reason to be completely discouraged, various reasons are for that lack of response, and if you don't make threads of value to you yourself firstly and foremost, chances are you won't enjoy the conversations that transpire on them regardless.

Enjoy yourself foremost and consider topics with views from all reasonable objectives, then present them in a way that the majority can participate or transition into with ease, most successful threads that I see typically use that formula in one manner or another.
All the best.

FaithFighter : There are some threads I make that go nicely and get debate and response and some that flop.  You can't really control it.  I looked at what you wrote about or posted threads and you have very specific questions that don't necessarily give interest for the major demographic of this website.  Remember: Most folks here are younger than you.  They're not 'kids' but they are here for Pokemon and video games.  A majority of posts are about your favorite Pokemon.

When you write questions and create threads, make them relateable to other people.  You may be really interested in the subject but you're not reaching all the other folks.  Make things simple.  My biggest hit was "What do you see out your window?"  Simple, easy, everyone can answer.  It's not the most exciting stuff, like, "How many shoes do you own?" but it gets responses and people talk.  The high level, intellectual conversation simply happens between four or five of us, or doesn't happen.

Keep figuring out what people like.  You'll be fine.

It depends on where you post them mostly, if it's in a forum thats not active you might not get that many people to view them, especially for guides and reviews which I think have the lowest reply percentages. I have more than 500 threads but I have more posts than I have replies to my posts.

Most of my threads go on to have 0 to 2 replies total while some go to have more than 1000. It's a good blend of where you post it and what you post.
