Maybe to be able to be able to connect other saved data to other games. For example the Game boy games to the Nintendo games like Pokemon Stadium for the 64 to the original Blue and Red Pokemon.

Davideo: Actually that sounds even better. Choosing which state to save to would be a good addition.

Some DS games would be nice since they stopped making them. This also might be the perfect chance to add some GameCube games, if possible. I should be able to donate at least 50 this year if I can get some hours at my job.

Wow, I'm amazed by all of the feedback. Lots of great feedback and we'll try and take as much of it into consideration as we possibly can. This will probably take me a while to go through

TheJmsGamer : I might only grant access to Dreamcast games if users buy an item in the item shop but we'll see. If I did do that, it'd probably be only half the price of the Playstation item. Dreamcast games are large in file size, larger than the average Playstation game so that means that if users were to pay Viz for the individual games, they'd be a lot. As a way to reduce the price of the individual games, I could give users the option to play the game with an ad in the play window.

Leunith : A Battle Arena will be added to the site eventually but that is unrelated to this. The Battle Arena would be something I code myself.

vizzy900 : Signing into twitch with your account just doesn't sound like something worth investing money into. Roblox vizzed server is unrelated to the RGR Plugin.

Juliaisme123 : A speedup option is actually a possibility and so are cheats. Refer to this thread:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=84549

Leoneal : GBA Netplay would be awesome but it's just way to far out of my budget. Sorry.

danielbelitch : I don't blame you, the Nintendo 3DS is a quality system and has just as good of games as any of the consoles available today.

Not necessarily. The Dreamcast games on steam are probably better optimized than games emulated in an emulator. I guess I'm not sure if the steam versions are emulated or not but knowing SEGA, they probably are.

shanezer : Dreamcast probably would be available to only Beta Test Ticket owners for a quite a while since it'd take a while to get users to test all of the Dreamcast games. You gotta figure, there are 520+ Dreamcast games that I plan to add to the site and they're large in file so it'll take a while.

uberkoopa : Actually the SNES and all of the Mednafen systems support full screen. I definitely agree about MAME games needing full screen support.

MAME games would make for great high score runs since almost every Arcade game has a score system and the games are usually built with the score system in mind. The arcade version of almost any game is usually the better version too. I'm glad I'm not the only user excited about this.

The later DOS games are a little more intensive but I totally agree, it does seem more practical than the Dreamcast. Also, having DOS games playable in the RGR Plugin allows us to add 10,000s of new games. On top of that, the games are much smaller than Dreamcast. I of course want to get both systems though and the 3 reasons why I'm leaning more toward Dreamcast is because it's my favorite system, so many good games that so many people missed out on, and I think it would draw more attention than DOS. Not sure if Dreamcast netplay is a possibility but I doubt it.

Those are some great ideas and I've added them all as 1 item in the poll.

Eirinn : It is hard to estimate how much these updates will cost, not even the RGR Plugin developer can give me a rough estimate.

bobq : I think we could get SNES netplay working with the next release but we'll see. I'm not sure what the deal is with N64 netplay but it sounds like a common problem with the Kaillera server (look it up if you want).

m0ssb3rg935 : That's true that the true N64 experience involves multiplayer. I mean they gave it 4 controller ports for a reason.

Fireproof :
1. The version of Mednafen that we use is over 2 years old so having it updated will definitely fix a lot of problems. You can find a huge detailed list of what has gone into every update here:
https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/retro/VizzedRGRPlugin/Mednafen%20Changelog%20Since%200.9.27.txt

3. I agree, having DOS games could help us target a new kind of audience that we haven't been targeting a whole lot of yet: retro pc gamers.

4. Dreamcast is probably the #1 requested RGR Plugin feature.

5. Weird that full screen isn't working for you. I've thought about making it so that the play window is larger, that might be a good solution if we can't fix that problem you're experiencing.

6. While I'd love to have the RGR Plugin recreated for mobile devices, it'll probably never happen. It'd be so far out of my budget. On top of being incredibly expensive, I'd have no way to earn that money back since I wouldn't be able to legally charge for the app and I'm not so sure I could earn enough from ads in it.

Make it so that the games could be playable offline would ultimately hurt the site. What allows me to pay for the huge server fees, rgr plugin updates and the many other expenses are the ads. If a user was able to play all of these games with the rgr plugin offline then I'd no longer be able to fund these things with the ads.

7. A report game link would be a good idea.

687980909 : Those are some great reasons why DOS would be a better choice compared to Dreamcast.

vanelan : What desync issue does ZSNES have? If you're talking about netplay, keep in mind that Mednafen is what we use for netplay.

Jordanv78 : Actually when you record videos with Genesis in the RGR Plugin, it looks fine until you use Freemake to compress it. For whatever reason. Freemake destroys the aspect ratio of Genesis games recorded in Mednafen.

Actually Playstation netplay is happening sooner than you think, it could be in the next release. However, not all Playstation games will be compatible and I'm pretty sure it'll require both users to have a somewhat powerful computer. Still exciting though.

megamanmaniac : Multiple saves? We're working on it here
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=84549

tRIUNE : There's no set deadline, we'll be adding updates for however long Tom is willing to add updates and for however long I can afford to have updates added. At very least this will go on for at least 3 weeks.

Gabe Puratekuta : GBA netplay over the internet just isn't possible at the moment. We've spent countless hours trying to figure out how to make it possible and we've concluded that it'd require a really big budget, one that's way out of my reach.

Thebiguglyalien : That wouldn't be possible, sorry.

blohis : Mednafen already lets you record Playstation games but it requires a powerful computer.

evilcon09 : Refer to what I said to vizzy900.

FaithFighter : You should be able to setup your controller with Mupen 64.

I don't want to remove games that are unplayable because eventually we'll be able to make them playable.

rooney03 : Refer to what I said to Gabe Puratekuta.

8bitNESPlayer : Genesis netplay will support more than 2 players within the next release

Bondorello : The current plugin might actually support Amstrad and Spectrum games. Those are systems I'll look into adding eventually.

I've added those additional MAME features as an item in the poll so be sure to vote on it.

I'm not familiar with ScummVM. Could you tell me what this is and how it'd be beneficial to add?

jerry.ferguson : Well the current Playstation games support saving to virtual memory card but don't currently support save states. The latest version of Mednafen, which will be in the next release of the RGR Plugin, will have Playstation save state support but it's considered an "experimental feature" which means that it wont work for all Playstation games.

G789 : You can actually adjust the volume of the plugin with your computer's volume control options.

VizzedGuy111 : Refer to what I said to Leunith.

Derick22333 : Your profile does keep track of the games you've played.

damonp : Refer to what I said to G789.

mrhello : Too many legal issues with GameCube and definitely way to many legal issues with the Wii.

Shadow53 :
1. I agree and that's what we're working on right now, getting all of the current emulators up to date.

2. I'm not sure how we'll go about DOS games yet, I'm honestly not that familiar with emulating DOS games.

3. I'm not sure how to make the RGR Plugin compatible with Linux/Mac through Wine but if it doesn't cost too much than I'll consider it.

I don't want to release the source code of the RGR Plugin because the first thing that would happen if I did that is that someone with a competitor site would basically take the RGR Plugin and do with their site what I'm doing. The RGR Plugin is currently locked to vizzed.com and will not work on any other site but if it did work on other sites, all the money I invested into the RGR Plugin would go right down the drain and I would lose a lot of traffic to the competitor sites as well.

joey9900 : Too many legal issues with GameCube and PSP.

goku123 : We could definitely work on adding Mods for DOS games eventually after DOS has been added.

DarkHyren : More games draws in more traffic which ultimately gives me the budget to get more updates done to the plugin. We are working on getting all of the emulators in the plugin up to date so that'll definitely help fix a lot of the current problems users have. After we get these first few waves of updates out, then we'll be putting more focus on fixing things that still need to be fixed.

Fireproof : I have no idea what the maximum size of an uploaded video is. If you can find a YouTube upload script somewhere on the internet that shows what percentage the video has uploaded so far than give me a link and I'll get it added. I haven't been able to find one though.

The refreshing of the game page is necessary but I could look into optimizing the game pages enough to where it doesn't slow down a computer when it refreshes.

Epuslso : Refer to what I said to Gabe Puratekuta.

SonicMan91 : I've added Cheat Support to the list of poll options.

MonsterX3D : I don't think that's possible.

Aceo45 : Too many legal issues with DS and GameCube games.

Davideo7 : Yeah Im not sure why it does that to genesis games and not to any of the other systems. Is weird. Nevertheless, it would be cool to be able to modify your recording settings in the plugin, if possible.

I figured that PsOne netplay would require some decent resources. Still though, I'm excited.

Honestly, I'm surprised not more people are in support of MAME netplay. That would open so many possibilities up, it would be insane. Got my fingers crossed that gets some more support ;-) lol

Jordanv78 : As far as I know, there is only 1 setting we can adjust with Mednafen recording:
http://mednafen.sourceforge.net/documentation/

It's the qtrecord.vcodec setting. We can do raw, cscd or png. We currently use cscd and that seems to be by far the best setting.

If these same users who are excited about MAME netplay participate in MAME netplay regularly, the netplay feature on vizzed will finally really take off. That would be exciting because I've always wanted to draw more attention to that feature since I think it's an incredibly awesome feature that really helps make vizzed unique.

Davideo7 : I like the idea of donating with games. If I could with Amazon, I would do it, would the CP/Viz payout be about the same?

Davideo7 :

I kinda guessed that part with it being experimental and all but it's worth it thank you I hope I get a job soon so that I may donate some money to the website's development.

Davideo7 : Another Idea I have for the RGR Plugin is the Split Screen Option ,that way mutiple users can play the same and don't have to worry about not joining in that specific game.

zanderlex : Good question. At the moment it wouldn't be automated so therefore you wouldn't earn CP but I'd still be able to send you Viz for it. I'll have to make updates to the Donation page eventually to support Amazon Checkout.

Davideo7 : I dunno why I was thinking ZSNES...Mednafen needs an update badly.

Not sure if you know, but MAME still doesn't support, but MAME Plus Plus does support kailera.

vanelan : MAME and MESS support netplay with MAMEhub. I wanna stay away from using Kaillera as much as possible, it's pretty common for users to have desync issues with Kaillera like what we experience with N64 netplay on vizzed.

I've had very little desync issues with SNES netplay, if ever.

I think lots of these new features are pretty cool and would like to see them implemented. But what would be really awesome would be adding GCN or PS2 games to the RGR, but that's probably asking WAY to much. I would also like to see The Minish Cap fixed so it will stop crashing. Thanks.

IS there any way to make the high score mode work with Mednafen? There are a few games that I (and probably many other users too), cen't play properly without using MEdnafen, and high score mode doesn't support it. When I click "Play using MEdnafen), I'm no longer competing for a highs core, but instead I'm just playing a regular game.

megamanmaniac : Actually any game that is supported by mednafen switches to mednafen in high score mode. That link at the top shouldn't be there but is displayed anyway.

I vote for MAME netplay. Multiplayer Arcade games all support drop-in play, that would serve scheduled and random pick-up games well.
