Super Mario 3: Review
By: VizzedGuy111
Ah, Super Mario Bros.3. It's the 3rd (or 4th due to Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2) installment of the Super Mario Bros. series, and good Mario game with new power ups like the Tanooki leaf and the frog suit, and new features that are added that are used from some modern Mario games. It also has a good rating and quite a hard one too. I'm going to review Super Mario Bros. 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (or NES for short)
Graphics 7/10
The graphics are quite great for the system. The characters' and enemies' models were quite detailed and even the levels were quite good too although the tiles could use some work. The animations are quite smooth and I find it okay. However the ridiculous thing about this is that when you're at the spade house, when you're small, you are actually smaller than a toad! However that thing doesn't change the rating, so now I'm gonna tell you the rating! I give the graphics a 7/10.
Sound 6/10
It's really hard to tell about the sound, but here we go! The sound is not that bad actually. I mean there isn't a lot of sounds in this game (I think) but at least they sound pretty good on the system. The music are pretty good too. The music are pretty catchy and you may hum them. So without further or do, I give the the sound 6/10!
Addictiveness 6/10
I guess I could probably play this game again. I mean this game is a Mario game I'm I right? The levels are okay I guess, but at least features like houses, enemy encounters, and airships are good. You also have a score in order to compete who has the best score. However, if you're focusing in completing the game, well here you go.
Story 4/10
The story is the same old Mario story again. Princess Toadstool has been kidnapped by Bowser. What does Mario do? He saves Princess Toadstool of course. *sigh* I'll give the story a 4/10 rating.
Depth 8/10
I have to give the depth a high rating and here's why. You have levels to complete, you have houses to go to, castles to destroy, enemies to encounter, and airships to conquer. Well that's it. So i give the depth a good 8/10 rating.
Difficulty 7/10
The difficulty is woah. The enemies are okay, but the death pits are massive. You have to keep avoiding them and it's quite hard to jump are dodge them So I give the difficulty a 7/10.
Overall 8.5
I give the overall of the game 8.5. I mean this game is quite awesome and a good Mario game for the NES. So, that's at least have to be a 8.5.
So anyway I'm done with this review. So if you have never played Super Mario Bros.3 for the NES, go play it! It's quite fun!
