Currently I have some fish and crayfish in the same aquarium, and I also have two bunnies. Our bunnies are potty trained, they only go on the newspaper in the bathroom, and they are super affectionate. The like to cuddle on my arms, and dig their heads into my armpits. One of them also like to lick your arms for hours. Most unusual pet I've had is probably a white homing pigeon (Dove). She was also super affectionate. She'd perch on your shoulder and pick the inside of your ear clean, and she'd do it gently... It's the weirdest feeling ever. XD Yes, I am for spaying and neutering. I wouldn't mind adopting, but I usually don't get pets on my own. All of my pets have been hand me downs from my sisters who are tired of taking care of them... So, they've given me dogs, cats, rabbits, doves, mice, fish, and turtles. I've never even bought a pet for myself. Most unusual pet I've had is probably a white homing pigeon (Dove). 1. What pets do you have ( and please do tell us a bit about them ) ? I own a cat right now and I used to own a rat . 2. What is the most unusual pet you have had or seen that someone you know has ? I'm not sure probably a spider or snake, but that's more creepy than unusual. 3. Are you for or against spay and neutering ? Nope I think it's a good thing to get that done, that is if you have the money and I don't lol 4. Would you adopt or go to breeder instead if you planned on getting a pet ? I would probably adopt. I might even go to just a regular pet shop. The cat I have , his name is cinnamon and he stays into tons of trouble and is really messy but I do love him. I used to own a rat when I was younger. I don't remember a lot about him other than he really stinked lol 2. What is the most unusual pet you have had or seen that someone you know has ? 1. I live on a farm that doubles as an elderly/disabled animal shelter, so I have QUITE a few animals, and as we're not an animal farm (no joking, please) they're all pets. Currently we have 20 cats, 8 of which are disabled and 3 of which are over the age of 14, and they will have homes here for as long as they need one. We also have 15 dogs, six of which are disabled (including a 100% deaf puppy named Elsa who is MY BABY) and two of which are over the age of 15. We also have a 10 year old potbellied pig who thinks she is the mother of every dog on the farm for some reason, and they love her for it, a sweet, rescued mare who used to be solid black and all skin and bone, but is now almost solid white and a fat and happy lady, and an elderly (20+ year old) pony who thinks he's a giant dog. Everyone seems to be just one great big family, oddly enough, and we get donations of food to help with the dogs and cats since we're a shelter. I love all of them so much. 2. Most unusual I have ever had? That's a tossup between the groundhog I had when I was very little and the raccoon I had when I got a little older. Grounie -- the groundhog -- was the of us finding a mother groundhog beside the road that had been run over, but left her one baby unharmed. We brought him home and I raised him. When he got grown, he went outside and 'left' to build a burrow across the fence in the woods. Found himself a mate and raised a bunch of babies before I guess he died of old age. Ricky, on the other hand, was given to me by a breeder. Dad took me to see the babies once, and this little guy climbed out of the nest box and onto my shoulder unprovoked, then tried to bite anyone who reached to get him and take him away from me. Wouldn't stay in the nest box long enough to put the lid back on it when I put him back, either. HE'd hop right back onto me and start the whole 'bite anybody' thing again. Sooo...he was given to me as a 'lost cause', the breeder supplied me with baby formula and a bottle, and I bottle fed this raccoon until he was old enough for release. He was better than any guard dog when he got big, too. He weighed over 40 pounds and was SCARY to people he didn't know. He was always sweet to me, though. He died of old age a few years back. We never kept him in a cage, never kept him bound up in any way. He was wild and free to come and go as he pleased...he just 'pleased' to stay with ME. 3. I think it's a good thing in moderation. Because, after all, if every pet was ALWAYS spayed and neutered, over time there would be such a limited gene pool to breed from that things would get bad really fast. Worse than they are now with purebreds. It's a 4. Adopt. I've gotten a few pets from breeders (including my one remaining Himalayan cat, Mopsydoodles), but by and far our animals have come through adoption or emergency rescue. I wouldn't have it any other way. 2. Most unusual I have ever had? That's a tossup between the groundhog I had when I was very little and the raccoon I had when I got a little older. 1. A cat. I had two until December because, erm, you know. 2. I have a friend at school who has a pet hedgehog. 3. Not for it, not against it. I don't care either way. 4. Adopt. It doesn't matter too much to me what type of pet I get, plus breeders can be ridiculously expensive. 2. I have a friend at school who has a pet hedgehog. 3. Not for it, not against it. 1. What pets do you have ( and please do tell us a bit about them ) ?
Three cats named Bailey, Stress, and Morticia, as well as a cockatiel named Lolita. 2. What is the most unusual pet you have had or seen that someone you know has ? I say "unusual" in terms of age here. I took in a cat named Scamp that my ex-boyfriend's uncle couldn't keep. She was about twenty-four or twenty-five years old by the time I got her. She was thin and bony, her fur was filthy, she only had about two of her own teeth left, as well as extremely bad breath. I had her for about eight months before she passed away. 3. Are you for or against spay and neutering ? I'm all for it. 4. Would you adopt or go to breeder instead if you planned on getting a pet ? Adopt. Did it with my kitties. I have two cats, both have black fur. Inky is the boy, and Onyx is the girl. I have a hamster that is black and white which is named Oreo. I have a rabbit named Jasper, he's also black furred. Onyx was found on the road as a kitten, I was a child at the time. She is older now, very sick but a very sweet cat. Inky was given to me by my significant other this Valentine's day. He is wild and full of energy almost always. Oreo is my sister's hamster, she's sweet and loves people. Jasper is a big rabbit, bigger than most. I got him from New Orleans. All of my pets were strays, or free to me. The most unusual pet would be a deer... I knew someone who had one as a pet. It's probably not legal, but I think it's odd to keep something pinned up that is meant to be in the wild or free. I am for spay and neutering. My animals were, because we couldn't afford to have more. I don't see anything wrong with it. I would go to adopt if I were to get a new pet. I would want to give the animals that are already out in the world that don't have a home, a home and a roof over his/her head. |
