And that is too many changes to the boss battles.

MM is a great game praised by lot's of Zelda fans who also lament how Nintendo should look back at this game and look at what fans loved about it. (And I couldn't agree more.)

However, Nintendo recently revealed that one boss battle in the 3D remake of the game will change.

At first many people speculated it was Gyorrg because of the eyeball seen inside of his mouth.

However, in a more recent trailer, displaying Odolwa also with an eye, (this time on the back of his head) The previous assumptions may be thrown away.

But man, I hope it's not Odolwa's battle that changes. I mean, that battle was fun, (Though a super hard mode would be neat for it. . . )

But here's the thing.

MM's bosses were different.

Unlike OOT, the bosses were more open ended. You could use different masks to fight them, and arrows often did actual damage, (They were more than just a means to stun). And it's the open endedness of these fights that made the game so awesome.

I mean, honestly, what's more fun too you?

Fighting a boss, just dodging it's attacks, not knowing how to kill it, and dying every time until you discover it's weakness, after which it becomes a game of dodging attacks, stunning the boss, and hitting it three times with your sword. . . .

Or fighting it with any weapon of your choice, not stunning it with a mystery weapon, just going at it, and playing it freely. You know, like P vs P in fighting games almost?

I find the latter much better. Plus it makes the programmers actually program the Boss's AI well rather than relying on your inability to uncover it's weakness.

It leads to a lot better boss fights in my opinion.

And that's why I don't want Odalwa to change. What I really want is for Gyorrg to change, to become more open ended, and not so reliant on the Zora mask. Ya know? But it was a good fight even still, and even fun since it was the only one like it. And it certainly added to the hunter, hunted effect, having to get in and out of the water like that really quickly.

I still would like to see how it might have been done a little differently, but I'm far from complaining about the original design as well.

I'm just hoping it's not Odolwa that they changed, and as always, am hoping for the best.

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

Sword legion : The reason the Eye is in Odalwa's and George's mouths are cause those are the weak points. It wasn't obvious you should shoot odalwas head in the original and was kinda confusing the first time

mourinhosgum :

I prefer the great fairy sword jump attacks on his legs.

And sword, I'm sure it's just to point out that you can stun the bosses with arrows/boomerang fins. (if "use the dungeon weapon" or the pots stuffed with arrows wasn't enough of an indicator)

E: wha, what is this layout?!

bombchu link :

I know, And you'r right about that, but that was just the first boss you could use the dungeon item on to beat, it wasn't necessary though. Just like the Giant's Mask.

I would like...um...a different looking Great Fairy (not the removal of her necessarily, and especially not the music). The way she was portrayed made me feel...uncomfortable. It still does. OoT and Majora's Mask are considered to be among the greatest Zelda games for good reasons. But I feel that Nintendo's particular portrayal of the Great Fairy is among the most tacky, senseless things Nintendo has ever done E-rated? PSHAW! lol Not bashing the games. They're fantastic. But why couldn't we have a more modest Great Fairy? ;-;

Sword legion : Unfortunately, recently, Odolwa's battle is COMPLETELY changed. You can read about it here http://www.zeldauniverse.net/2015/01/23/hands-on-with-majoras-mask-3d-significant-changes-to-the-fight-against-odolwa/. I would like a new Master Quest for the remake, just like its prequel, so we can experience a harder version.
