I am kind of surprised that it took me this long to do a review of this movie because it's one of my 5 favorite movies of all time. In general, I am a fan of the SHerlock Holmes character, but as for media, the Robert Downey Jr movies are the only ones that I actually like, and I don't just like them, I absolutley love them. I saw the movie I think within a week or two of when it came out and I fell in love.

The story is pretty simple and follows Sherlock Holmes as he tries to take down Professor Moriarty and stop him from causing some kind of a world war. The movie follows Holmes and Watson through a ton of dramatic and hilarious actions scenes like the 1st movie did and ended with it's very emotional climax.

There are three scenes throughout the movie that I just can't get enough of. The first scene is near the beginning when Watson and his wife are on a train heading for their honeymoon and they are attacked by some of Moriarty's men. I love this scene because it has a ton of quick paced action, good thinking, and a ton of funny scenes, I could just watch that scene over and over, and it probably is my favorite of the three. My next favorite scene is where Holmes, Watson, and a few others are running through the forest trying to escape from Moriarty. I really like this scene just for the way that the scene itself looks because it looks like it was beautifully handcrafted. The final scene that I really like is the last scene between Holmes and Moriarty when they are playing chess because this is a very dramtic scene that is also very clever and also very sad.

The acting is one of the best parts of the movie for me, as I would not have ayone other than Robert Downey Jr play the title role because he is a very perfect fit for the role and plays it with no error. Jude law is in the film as Watson and he perfoms jut as well as RObert and makes the movie more interesting with his attitude towards Holmes. The movie hosts a bunch of other known celebreties as well in their cast such as Rachael McAdams and Stephen Fry and I think hat everybody worked perfectly together to make the movie so awesome.

The music is simply the best part of the movie. Many, MANY people know that I am a huge fan of the work of Hans Zimmer, but this is the movie that got me interested in him, in fact, I never even heard of his name before I saw this movie. When I first saw this movie, I instantly fell in love with the music. I loved the music itself, but I also said that the music had fit in perfectly with both the effects and the action. I have listened to pretty much every single song int he soundtrack over and over and love the music for this movie.

The effects are also what make the movie so good because it gives us a really good feel of what it was like during the time period when it takes place, but there's also something about the lighting that makes me really like the way that the movie looks. It's as if the movie is just darker, and I don't mean because of what happens in the movie or because of the time of day, I just pretty much mean the colors and the way the ligthing effect the setting because it makes the mvie so much better. In fact, there's only one other movie where I had experienced this in and that was the third Harry Potter movie.

Overall, this movie is still one of my all time favorite movies, even after 2 new movies made that list in 2014, it still ranks near the top because it's such a fun movie to watch and listen to. If you don't like Sherlock Holmes, I still suggest that you see this because it's awesome.
