  The story

begins when high school Mutou Kazuki is killed while saving a girl from a monster,but

he wakes up thinking

it was just a nightmare.The

next day he takes his life

normally,but ends up getting scolded for losing his backpack the night before and stays late at school.During the

night, he and his sister

are attacked by the same

snake monster the night

before.While fleeing, Kazuki

gets a call on his cell

phone, is Tsumura

Tokiko, the

girl of his "dream",she explains

that the monster is a

Homunculus and that Kazuki was really dead,but she
raised a Kakugane putting in place of your heart.Kakugane

Tokiko explains that the

apparatus is an alchemist that when activated turns into a weapon to fight the Homunculus.In a moment

of desperation, Kazuki

Kakugane their active and creates his own Busou Renkin,which

has the shape of a spear immense.Along with

Tokiko, Kazuki fight the Homunculus and its creator.
