Hi there everyone....for those who still know me around knows me. For those who don't well here I am, but that's not the reason I made this thread. I'll cut to the chase of what my problem is. Which has made me come to a desperate decision, to ask of you all as a vizzed community. For those who know me inside and out. Knows that I am mentally disabled and born one. Now. For sometime, or rather for a VERY long time. I have been trying to crack my brain as of what I want to do as my future job or trying to get one. Because I can't really go out much this has halt my decisions upon many things. My main thing I want to do is help my mother....I've always wanted to she struggles to pay the bills by herself and here I am in the house not doing anything. Or rather trying my best to try and make some profit to help her. Why do I say this you ask?

As people would say it something that you need to think about. As it is your own future job. I know that. But I just need suggestions. My friends on here for those who have been keeping up to date with my life knows. Its a real struggle. I know many have said I am a strong person I am. But strong people break sometimes and need help when the peak gets hit. What I am trying to say that. Could you please? Suggest some suitable jobs, that I am able to do without straining myself? Maybe it is wrong of me to ask I dunno. Though I have been waiting very patiently on god to help me. And I am getting a bit impatient. It's not as if I have given up on him. But, more like say I have taken an action I may regret, which I am not so sure about now...I'm in a bind I just don't know what to do....baking is out of the picture as that puts strain on my body causing me to be ill after baking a huge cake. I'm not so sure about catering. I've kind of considered going back to writing stories in hopes of becoming an author maybe. That was my back up plan from many years ago. I'm not sure about poetry either. And for my anime reviews, I'm not sure how to make money with that on the web. As my passion for that has kind of sunk low....so many things has happened and changed. As of now I stream and read a lot of fanfictions during my free time. Which is why I have been really inactive on vizzed. I still come by to talk to my friends and post from time to time when I can.

I'm well...a person of self help most know that. So it is really rare for me to ask for help as I don't always rely on people. Not unless they are a really close friend. But as good friends always remind me it is ok to ask for help and not to be afraid to do so..


If you know people with ausim, or known as mentally disabled. They are only limited to things that they can do outside. Its hard for them to get a decent job that they enjoy, and can do without one of their conditions taking affect. As you know most became athletes and made it big. Anyways back to the point. I would be greatly appreciated if you can help out please. I am now 24 years. Shocking right? As I am I can't live alone sadly due to my disabilities and conditions. 
most people by that age are already you know what. I don't need to explain that. What I used to do some passion I have lost. I am meant to be completing a fanfic which I have started. Or should had long ago. There's one person or a few still waiting on the next chapters to come out which I should had done last year....I would like to really apologize for that..I'm still working on it trying to come up with a plot for every chapter while making it look interesting. Its hard though... btw I am not doing this to earn any points in the tdv really. As you can see I'm not competing at all. I told singelli big sis and a few others what my plans may be before. But I've not fully decided as it is hard. This is something that has to be permanent as in forever...Please help and thank you...

So the ultimate idea here is something you enjoy, is easy to do physically and something you can handle mentally, any ideas so far? I mean something like a beta tester might be possible, but how easy would it be to even get that kinda job? I'm not sure what to tell you Enii, any ideas yourself?

You said that streaming twitch gets a little money that could be an idea?

Other then that there really aren't many things. A writer or a coder would be an option...

Also, if you were to work for huge companies with customer service that's another pretty easy job but not something I'd really think you'd enjoy...

You really don't have many options as the way it is. Some things can get a little money such as doing stuff on YouTube and putting adds onto them, which can get a little bit of money.

With the whole baker thing, if you were to take it slowly and not do anything too outrageous... That could actually be an idea...

Other then those I really don't think you have many other options... Sorry...

Hey Enii. I hate that you're feeling discouraged, but I also know what you mean by having difficulty in finding a proper job just for you.  Have you done any research on the web about jobs autistic people can easily do do?  I know there are companies which will head-hunt for you and help you find a job also, but I don't  know how expensive they are, if they charge.  Have you tried contacting a career counselor?

I don't know how many people here read threads AND will know about this subject, which is why I'm suggesting the options above.  I myself don't even know what to tell you, unfortunately.  There are sites which will allow you to write and sell online fiction.  You have to get people interested enough to actually buy your material though.

Even if you might not have interest in it, what about making jewelry or crocheting / knitting stuff?  If you learn to do those, you can sell your work online. I actually have a friend who makes a lot of money by selling homemade jewelry, and it's not made of expensive stuff, either.  Usually it's just made of string, clasps, and beads.

Well one of the best things to do in your case is something that's easy to do for you. Like bara said. Twitch brings in a little money and so does youtube. Like make blogs or something. Hell, my mom has arthritis and she's making it big be make a book. You dont look for the jobs, you MAKE them. That's the name of the game here.

Barathemos : Yes that is true. But that is only if you get many viewers who donate to you. I'm still a beginner streamer who has a long way to go...its really hard to get viewers. As most want to watch people play popular games of today. As for me I've started to stream ps2 games as of now. I don't really plan on doing what other people do so...I do get viewer's sometimes. But they come and go...if I am lucky the best I can get up to is 8 viewers. But heres my thoughts. I got a lot of viewers by playing a poke hack game on vizzed. ^^

Singelli : Hi big sis thanks for replying. I was expecting you to actually. Those things you have said I've not done in details so I'll try that today. As you said for this  jewellery or crocheting / knitting stuff. I'll try and see to those...you know? I used to make jewellery long ago...about knitting my sister does that, so I don't wanna take that away from her. As for crocheting I'll try and look that one up. It sounds interesting! I just don't want to give up hope when all plan fails. Then I have to look outside of the box for another thing to like and do right?

Mega Mewtwo X : Easier said then done mega. Remember its not easy for most people. I have been making some money from youtube not that much here's what I am up to so far $0.05 dollars. Its small but I got it by playing a lot of poke hack game. And also I got a lot of viewers watching those videos. So for streaming its on the sideline. I am looking for the main one that will bring in a lot of money....

Truer words have never been spoken! You are SO right! Okay, anyway, I'll cut to the suggestions. Sorry, I'm just a little excited. You've helped us SO much before, and the least we can do now is help you back, big sis .

I know you may seem lost right now, and don't worry; I'm not going to say something like "stay strong" XD, but if you haven't come up with any ideas yourself yet, I suggest considering writing.

I know it's your backup plan, but with a little editing, which I would gladly do should you need any , I know that your writing can be amazing, and many people would read your stories! Practice makes perfect, right?

If being an author isn't exactly your forte, I'm not really sure what to suggest. I'm only 13, so the whole "job" topic isn't exactly something I've been researching often . Ha ha.

Anyway, I know I've said this before, but, for some reason, I think your greatest potential lies in you becoming an author. I think you should write fictional stories, fan fictions, if you want, but I also think you should consult your family and other friends for advice as helping people select jobs really isn't my field of expertise .

Don't let my post influence your choice heavily, but I just wanted to share my opinions on what would make you most successful. If it makes you feel any better, I enjoy your writing . There! You already have one fan! XD

Like Barathemos said, YouTube and Twitch can bring in a little money, can it? In the case that you're popular, it could bring in more than just a little money, but let's not decide too quickly just yet XD.

I was basically just throwing stuff out there, but good luck! Also, perhaps you could carry out the baking slowly and steadily with someone to help you during the process. Maybe? I don't know. It's just an idea, and so is this: given your strength and natural willingness to help and encourage, I believe you'd even have a shot at becoming a psychological therapist. 

I'm serious, but I'm not exactly old enough to claim my information valid, so I'll leave it up to you to consider ANYTHING in this post or not XD. That's what we're all here to do, though, right? Give you suggestions ?

Anyway, writing, streaming, whatever - I know you're disabled in some ways, but you're EXCELLED in others, so use your strengths, which I know you have lots of, to your advantage. I am positive that someone as hopeful, imaginative, and willing as you can accomplish a lot . You have many choices, Eni. It may not seem like it, and many people may tell you otherwise, but you do. You really do.

Have you considered looking for a job helping people who are experiencing the effects of autism, just as you are? You seem to understand your limitations well, and you are familiar with the symptoms of autism, so perhaps you could look into working with children who have autism as well? You could help them learn their limitations, help them learn how to succeed and master their feelings, and prepare them for life! It could be a frustrating job at times, depending on the kids you worked with, but I think it could also be really neat to work in a field that you have been personally impacted by.

I definitely encourage you to pursue writing as well, while you're not job searching or helping your mom around the house! Even if it's not your main source of income, writing when you can will help bring in a little income, and every little bit counts.

One final idea I've come up with is working as a hair stylist. Is that something you enjoy doing? It allows you to express your natural creativity, without straining yourself physically too much. What do you think of that idea?

Also, as Sing said, creating jewelery and crocheting could be a fun way to earn income as well. My sister (terrina) crochets a TON, and she loves it! This spring, she plans to take some of her creations to a 'Zucchini Festival' that our community has. At the Festival, she can sell her Crochet items. If you could find something like that, it might help you learn what kinds of things people like to buy, so you can start strong?

I feel a bit relaxed now....I just remember. Also the smallest of things can make a good profit. I can make truffles and any type of biscuits as I wish. And I forgot that! Silly me.  

Eniitan : You could do some writing. You can be a great author if you continue writing great stories and poems. You can do some streaming, as well. Makes a little money, right? You can stream a 100% Walkthrough if you want. As for baking, take it easy, don't go really fast on here, take your time. Sorry, that's the only options I can think for

Singelli : So....I can still bake. But it will have to be small things, such as truffles, cookies and biscuits of the sort. I can try and still make fanfics and stream on the sideline. I would like to learn some new things which I may do. This will mean no more cake making not unless it is for occasions. With every new hope a light shines. I just needed a reminder that, you don't always have to make business of big things. ^-^

I'm going to have another family meeting with my mum bro and sis, to tell them what my decision is. I won't close this thread just yet.

Eniitan : So you decided to bake smaller things? That sounds like a good idea. I suggest trying that once to see how your body reacts.

If this will be your final decision. You might think you can't get a job easy because of you being disabled. But nope, there are MANY companies who want people like you! No, I'm not kidding at all. Companies would like to have some people who are extremely good in something, to be the best of all of course. Many people with autism and/or are disabled have a special talent - for you, this is baking which is why amazing bake companies would love to have you.

Eniitan : I finally get my computer working again and I see this thread, how could I stay away? But on track though.

Realistically speaking how easy will it be to become an author with autism? I mean clearly not impossible, but in no ways an easy feat. I suppose that comes down to you though. I mean I'm no stranger to autism either, many of my (numerous) cousins have it, my father probably does and my six year old brother is likely to be diagnosed with it soon. There is nothing wrong with having a dream or a hobby, but how do you plan on making a career out of it without the capability effectively communicate on a skilled level?

I'm not trying to dash hopes or anything, just ask the questions that need to be asked when it comes time to face reality.

Eniitan : I know I haven't been that active on here but that is because of collage and the likes. I have thought about your future before and where I think I would see you. you like baking but not the big stuff like a big cake which is fine as most chefs make a cake in groups and each have a task they do. One could make it all and put it in the oven and the other takes it out and decorates it. Note that that is normally for big cakes like a birthday cake while wedding cakes are like a whole group of chefs.

So if you know what the job is I'm describing its pinkies job: a pastry chef. You never see pinkie bake a cake by herself as that's mainly for Mr. and Mrs. Cake. What we have seen pinkie do is make cupcakes and even then shes not alone (although I think it would have been better to be alone then to trust tired AJ hand her the ingredients).

Eniitan : That is kind of a difficult question since I have no experience with jobs but I suggest to look for vacancies in the newspaper or on the Internet. If you find the right one for you (in a bakery or something like that, not far away though. Stay close in your area.) then apply for the job right away! I highly recommend to show of one of your cake creations, they will be in a ''wow'' moment immediately.
