I just loved it!

Of all thee Sega Genesis games, this one is my favorite! The lock on action that combined two games into one! It let you save your progress and choose between three different characters!

Sonic I felt got nice upgrade in this title, (or two, well, they were originally going to be one game. ) Sonic has his Fire shield which let's him blast forward with super speed. The electric shield which gives him a double jump. And the ever so helpful water shield when trolin badniks in Hydro city.

One thing that Will always stand out to me is how much more serious it was than other Sonic Games up to this point. Knuckles was introduced as a new, mysterious character who became the guardian of the Master Emerald.

He had his own story, with Mecha Sonic as the final boss. (Not Metal Sonic) And was even rescued by Sonic at the end.

With his new moves and alternate path + story.

Sonic 3 And Knuckles set the ground for things we would later see appear in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2.

What do you think of this awesome duo of cartridges?

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

Sword legion : I agree Sonic 3 and Knuckles is the best Sega Genesis Sonic game and very well may be the best game in the series. I absolutely loved the doomsday zone stage and I pretty much loved everything else about the game as well.

I love the game and find it to be one of the 2d platforming greats.

Ah, how I long for such a non-RPG game! The acts and zones closely following each other, the Special Stages where you try to grab rings without fearing those pesky bombs, the nice colors and backgrounds... those were the days
