This forum is basically just so I can brag about my specs (which definitely aren't the best on Vizzed. They're amazing in my opinion, but I know there's better on Vizzed ). I invite you to share your specs below and to share a story you have about your computer! You don't have to, but I thought about how this thread would go and it would probably be shut down for it being inactive or something like that, maybe spam? Anyway, you don't have to go in full detail like I did, I just like to write :3. The story can be any story as long as it's a story mainly about your computer. It could be a laptop or a desktop computer, it doesn't matter .

To start this out, I got my computer probably a little over a year ago. I don't exactly remember the date I got it, but it doesn't really matter anyway. Well, I've had some pretty interesting stories about my PC and some miracles too so stay until the end .

My processor is the AMD FX-8320. In case you didn't know about the FX series, if the thousand digit is a 4, then there's 4 cores in that particular processor. My processor has 8, which works amazingly well .

My graphics card is (be prepared for a really long name...) the Sapphire Dual-X R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 OC with boost. Haha, it is a long name, but all it means is that it's a modified version of the original Radeon R9 270x by the company Sapphire, and it's overclocked. I'm not entirely sure what the boost is, but my take on it is that it goes faster than the original.

My motherboard is the Asus M5A78L-M/USB3. It's not the most helpful motherboard in the world xD. It's a micro-ATX, so that should already let you know it's a small motherboard. It only has 1 graphics card slot in it, but that's good enough for me .

My case is the Antec VSK-4000E. If you search this up, you won't find any cool expensive case that shows off the parts inside . It looks like a computer you'd find in an office xD. It's pretty much a black rectangular prism with a slant on one of the corners. I chose a cheap one because I didn't care about looks, I cared about price.

My power supply doesn't have an extremely high maximum wattage like you'd probably think. It's the HEC 585W, which means it's maximum wattage is 585. It is enough, but I kind of wish I had more for extra precaution.

My Storage is an HDD, not a fancy SSD or anything around those lines. I got the cheapest 1TB HDD I could find, and that ended up being the Seagate Barracuda. It's got a cache of 64MB, which probably isn't much, but it's all the little things that matter .

The last thing I'm putting in here is my optical drive. It doesn't really effect my performance or anything at all along those lines. I chose the cheapest one I could find, and that was the LG GH24NSB0. It definitely isn't the most impressive DVD burner, but it reads discs just fine so who really cares? Okay, time for the stories.

The first one is about when I first got my PC. I ordered it pre-built, but it had no OS on it because I was going to burn it onto a disc and use it for free (which I did, and it worked... eventually). The PC came in the mail about a week late (I was starting to believe it wasn't coming or it got sent to the wrong address). I opened up the box after I had gotten home from school (probably around 4 PM). I took out the fully built PC and plugged it in so I could get started. Now, I hadn't burned the DVD yet for the installation so I had to do that with my laptop. It wasn't terribly long, maybe 2 hours. I had to wait that long, and then I had my disc! I inserted it into my PC and it was working fine up to a certain part where it said it couldn't finish downloading. I honestly had no idea what was wrong and I was so mad that I had bought a computer worth $600-700 and I couldn't even use it!

I looked on Youtube, nothing. I looked on Google, nothing. A solution was never found, and even my twin brother (who helped me pick the computer and knew way more than me) didn't know what was wrong. He said we should just try again in the morning. I agreed until I woke up at around midnight wanting to actually get it to work. I was doing everything I could like pressing different options while installing it but it did the same thing each time. I went in the Bios (this is where the real miracle begins xD) and I was messing around with random stuff. I didn't know what anything did, and I didn't really care. I just wanted it to work! And to my surprise, after exiting the Bios, it installed just fine! I have no idea what I did in there nor will I probably ever know, I just thought it was extremely awesome back in the day.

My last story is something that happened a little more recently. Well, it was 6 months ago. My brother was visiting for 2 weeks (if you read my 3700+ word post here you'll know why. My friend who thinks he knows more than me about computers told me about how cool his RAM looks. This thought occurred to me that I've never ever looked at my RAM in my computer before, I only opened up the case so I could put in my graphics card. Later that day, I opened up my computer. I found the RAM sticks and they looked way cooler than I thought they would! Here's a picture:

Anyway, I decided to pop one out and look at it. I was sure that it would feel awesome, and it did. I'm not sure why, maybe it was the feeling I got by how cool they looked in the first place. I took it out, took some pictures of it with my phone, then proceeded to insert it back into my PC. This is where the bad part happened. They tell you to push until you hear it snap into place. I wish I would've read somewhere that you should snap into place manually just be safe. I ended up pushing too hard and I heard my motherboard make this weird sizzle-like sound. I stopped pushing it in, got a little scared, and snapped it into place automatically. I tried to turn on my PC but it didn't work. I had no idea what I had broken and even if I knew it wouldn't help me much anyway. I took the specific RAM out and tried to turn it on again.

I'm moving down here to save space . Anyway, just like before, it wouldn't turn on. I started to panic and I started to cry. That thing was worth a lot of money and I knew that if it didn't work anymore, my mom wasn't going to get me another one... So, I told my brother in tears and he said there was nothing he could do. (I believe in Christmas miracles so here's what happened next morning). I woke up after being mad and tried to turn on my computer anyway. It worked that time and it still works today! By then the only problem with the PC was that one RAM slot wasn't working, so I gave my brother one of my RAM sticks so he'd have 8GB.

These are my stories and PC specs! I hope you guys have interesting stories! Peace .
