Ever been accused of something that was not true?

All my life I have stood accused of silly things that got blamed on me and because I was too scared to speak up I got taken advantage of.

Did this ever happen to you?

I'm going to be brave and say that this has been done to probably most everybody unless you are some hermit living in some japanese mountain. I mean just look at the daily crap democrats and republicans accuse each other of, some true some not. Anywho, I've been accused of random stuff many times...who ate my brownie? I saw you with blah blah. LOL you wear clothes from walmart? Actually I have some and I look good in it. Anyways, like the general mass, stuff accused of me are sometimes true and many times not. Some hurt, some doesn't. Life goes on. 

This has only happened to me every day of my life that I interacted with my family. They seem to have this philosophy that if they make me giggle while accusing me that I am as good as guilty even when I am not. Psychological warfare is at play when they know it wasn't me.

I have spent years as my family's scapegoat for everything that went wrong. I let it get to me. I became depressed.

Even though my depression is largely over, I am still angry at them for putting me through that. I will never forgive my father for his physical threats and the seldom occasions he found excuses to beat me. I will never forgive my entire family for room invasion harassment and stealing things(including money) from my room when I was not there. I will never forget a single physical threat or violent episode my brothers made against me. My mother would toss me around like a ragdoll when I was smaller than her. My horrible sister would throw kicks at me when she was the bigger one. I was the one who got checked into the hospital accompanied by police when I finally dealt with her behavior. Not a day went by when my sister was living at home that she did not enter our parents locked bedroom during the day(not allowed to do that) like it was her own territory. My adult brother is even more of a sociopath. Still to this day he goes in there to sleep on their bed, use their bathroom, munch on their snack foods.

The way my brainless parents figure it, I am the worse offender if I blow the whistle on my siblings for their inappropriate behavior which never stops.

I'd get far away from this slow-motion train wreck if I could. Sadly, I don't have the money to move 1000 miles away.

I got into a little argument with my sister several years ago and because of that she accused me of hating her. She said that to someone at school that and then the person she said it to started treating me badly. Now I know why I had this uncontrollable disliking to her for years. She gets into way more trouble on purpose now and she never changes at all except for the worse so I don't think I'll ever like her again and we'll always be separated siblings.

Well, I think that at some point everyone has been accused of doing something that they didn't, but I believe that some people's experiences are different from other. I remember one time somebody had accused me of hitting there car because I had a preexisting scratch on my car the same color as their car and their car had a preexisting dent. It's worth noting that it really did look like I'd hit their car while pulling into the parking space because of the convenient positions of both of our rather large scratches. So both me and the lady that was accusing me know for a fact that I did not hit her car, but people walking by believed her because it looked legit. At this point I pretty much want to get the baseball bat from my car and break all of her windows because she is about tooooo... ruin my life... So there are people gathered around us thinking that I hit her car because she is telling everyone that I did and I'm sitting there dumbfounded by how this situation could have coincidentally happened. After a little while a manager from the store comes out to see what's happening. Luckily, this is the turning point... the manager goes into the store and looks at the tape from the cameras in the parking lot and realizes that this lady is falsely accusing me. Normally the manager would've just come out and been all like "this lady is a liar", but the police were there because she had called them. Now the manager tells the police that the lady is lying and she was actually arrested for misuse of 911 (maybe something to do with insurance fraud too). Lol, crazy right? I was so glad to be home after that big ordeal even though it was only like 45 minutes .

I was once arrested for arson. I did not do it and had no idea what it was all about but was released pretty soon afterwards. It turned out it was a "friend" of mine who sort of looks like me and I had been caught because of security cam footage that targeted pretty much everybody with the same fashion sense who were out that night. To make it even better, the guy was caught and for years he accused me of "ratting him out", even though it was his own damn fault for setting up a fire under a surveillance camera and I could not have snitched on him, even if I had lacked the common sense,  since I was caught before him and had no idea what had went down. And was never questioned again. But oh well. It is never your own damn fault.

When I was 17, me and a bunch of friends decided to go bowling one night the next town over. None of us had turned 18 yet, but one of my buddies had the bright idea for all of us to head into the gas station across the street and see if the oldest looking one of us (which definitely wasn't me) could get away with buying some Skoal. The gas station guy asked for my buddy's I.D. and was of course turned down. We all left and went back across the street. Less than five minutes later two or three cop cars pulled up and cuffed all of us. Turns out the gas station guy had called the cops and accused us of stealing some cigars. We were temporarily detained outside the bowling alley until the cops went and watched the cameras. We didn't steal them and were eventually set free. The end

Well, my brother accuses me for everything when something goes wrong, like for example when he loses in a video game So I'm getting accused for nothing almost everyday... and my former teacher accused me once for being a... no I can't say this word, Vizzed is family friendly after all o.o But well, he accused me for being a &/$§(!/$) because there was an annoying little brat in my school who is way younger than me, and who was always following and annoying me because she wanted a relationship so she gets more attention... my school and town are so weird, I'm so happy when I will move somewhere else this summer

Oncea long time ago when I was in school I was sitting with one of my "friends" I can't remember what we were talking about but he said a cuss word the teacher heard it and the kid tried to blame it on me the teacher knew it was him and he got in trouble but I just remember how upset I was when he lied like that. We were no longer friends after that...

It's not really an "accusation", but some people constantly think I'm a conservative while I'm a libertarian.

I find that really insulting. In my view, conservatives are just army-loving, state-meddling-in-the-bedroom government lovers. On my side, I despise government intervention almost everywhere.

Every day. I get in trouble for everything because my sister likes to lie about me and exaggerate everything(it doesn't help that my parents are fooled by her fake tears).

Small things, of course, but nothing super major. I intentionally try to avoid getting myself into such messes.

A little like Postman3, the biggest things were family related. My family went through a really terrible period a few years ago, and a lot of things happened that I don't care to focus on.

When someone close in your family is dying from causes you couldn't influence, I don't know how you can be the target for all that was happening (especially when you're working 24/7 to help out), but somehow I was.

I didn't believe it, but it really hurt.

Oh yes. In fact not that long ago, I had an idea to do something for Vizzed (I won't do into details), and someone reported me to David for doing something that I WASN'T planning on doing. Anyway, I was accused of doing something that I didn't do, and got demoted from global for about a day before it was all cleared up.

Not a good feeling, though I find if you don't over-react and and are clear in what you say, the truth emerges once the dust settles.

It happens to me all the time actually. In fact, it is a regular thing in my family whenever someone isn't willing to fess up and take the blame, someone else just points the finger to divert attention from themselves...As common as it is though, I don't make a habit of overreacting because that just makes the situation that much more dramatic. Instead, I approach the issue calmly and explain anything that can help fix the issue. This also happens at school every now and then, but not nearly as often as it does at home.  

Quite frequently over the course of my life actually; "I know you're lying, you keep smiling."  I have heard this over and over again throughout my life.  nothing to crazy.  Got in a fight with my girlfriend a long time ago because someone had convinced her that I cheated on her while on a vacation in a different province.  of course I didn't and she got over the idea but it still sucked to deal with... really grinded my gears if yta know what I'm sayin.

Yes it happens to me a lot actually. Used to I didn't stand up for myself and people ran all over me. Sometimes it's like everything in life is still my fault in some cases.

I know people who have had worse lies pinned on them growing up, way worse than me but the good thing about it is these people lying , all these things are eventually going to come back to them and they are going to pay for all the hard ship they caused others.

Honestly now, if I didn't do anything wrong I will say I didn't and people still won't believe me. I had things in the past pinned on me and that I got in huge trouble for even though I didn't do it. Used to it was about popularity and who was the best and such and now I look back on it and all those people were just showing how insecure they really were.

I still don't understand the things in this world but all I can do is be myself and try to move forward. I try day after day after day to be myself and to try harder and some people take me for granted a lot. I have become stronger though and I think my strength and my positivity shines through more now and usually nobody messes with me. So that's always good.

Yep. My sister tends to blame me for things that I haven't done and have no clue how I would have done them so she doesn't get in trouble with my parents. Such is the 'curse' of being the older sister, I think. *sigh* I don't bother trying to stand up for myself. It does no good in my family, so I just take whatever gets dished and try to make it so I can't be accused again for the same thing, even if  I didn't do whatever it was to begin with.

Never had it happen much in school or work situations, because I try to make myself unnoticeable, and I get ignored. 

On the 'net...yeah, it's happened. I get accused constantly of portraying an autistic and physically disabled OC as WRONG on Tumblr (yep, I roleplay on there), and get accused of not knowing how autistic people think, or that disabled people can't do the things my character does. I am constantly having to explain over and over that I am taking his actions from my own, real life experiences, so um...yes, I do actually know what I'm talking about, but I get accused again anyway. I don't even know WHY, it's not like he interacts with many people.

Same for the RP blog I have with Sora from Kingdom Hearts. I get accused SO. MANY. TIMES. of making him unbearably OOC, generally by people who are not in the RP community on Tumblr. The folk in the community that I have interacted with through Sora (all of them well established Kingdom Hearts blogs) have said that his characterization is pretty spot-on and feasible for a character moving past the time period of the games, so I don't know where they're coming from? I get the feeling I  am ruining some KH fans' fantasies by playing Sora like he's not some perfect little angel who has all the answers, and they take it out on me. *shrug?*
