Good Things in my Life :D
I posted a really long thread (3700 words! :P) about the bad things in my life, so I decided to make a thread about the good things.

I don't really know how to start this xD. Okay, well I guess I'll start it with one of the things I ended it off with in my other thread. I said my brother (I'm calling him Scott) is coming back to visit me from New York for probably 2 weeks. If you go to my Bio it explains in way smaller detail what my life is like so you can keep up. You might need to check it for this part of the thread. Anyway, he's coming back very soon but I'm not exactly sure when. I don't know if he will be here for Christmas or not, but it would be awesome if he could . Well, we have no idea what we're going to do when he comes back, but we are not just going to do some boring stuff I can tell you that. It will be during school break so we won't have school (I'm thankful for that). We'll probably hang out at our friends' houses and play games and such. We will also hopefully spend some quality family time with our mom and not her boyfriend (who I have named Jordan).

Next thing I would like to talk about is Christmas. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. Maybe I should say it's because it's Jesus' birthday, but we all know what the main reason for me loving Christmas is (hehe...). Not saying I'm not happy Jesus was born, it's just that I like to stay focused on the present and future rather than past . Another reason I love Christmas is because my birthday is always 2 and a half weeks before Christmas. That means I usually get a whole lot of money/presents all at one time of the year. I also really like Christmas just because it's usually a White Christmas where I live and it's usually perfect weather to make snow balls, snow angles, snowmen, and to go sledding. It gets cold eventually, but you don't care too much because you spend time with your family and are all having a good time.

I'm moving into another paragraph because I feel like I would've went way too long on the other one . Okay, so for Christmas, we always go to our grandma's house. She lives 20 miles away so it isn't too bad of a drive . Well, in total, it's usually my mom, my sister, my uncle, my aunt, my 2 real cousins (not like 2nd cousins or anything because I've probably got over a hundred of them), my grandma, my grandpa, and me. It used to be Scott too, but I don't know if he'll make it this year :/. One of the traditions we have is for opening presents. It always goes youngest to oldest, one present at a time. You can kind of tell that it takes a bit of time, but it is fair to everyone and it is a tradition . My sister (who I've named Marie) always goes first. Then it would be Scott, me, one of my cousins, the other cousin, and then the adults which I wouldn't know the order to . The 1 thing I always asked for because I couldn't think of anything else was Legos. For some reason, they were fun for me to build and are still fun for me to build. I'm talking about the legos where you have the instructions, and you build Star Wars ships and other cool things like that. Another thing I would ask for were video games for my DS and Wii. I never asked for much but somehow they were able to get me more than I usually asked for.

One good thing for me is that I am in basketball. I'm in it so I don't feel like a lazy bum during the winter for just playing video games the whole time . I do actually have a lot of fun playing and most of my team mates are fun to play with (I said most... There are a couple who get a little out of control if you mess something up, but there are a few of those on every team). I am a starter for the 8th grade team, but that might be because there are only 7 8th graders playing... A couple of 7th graders move up to substitute for us when we're tired, but most of the time it feels like we're one team. Our coaches don't get mad at us if we lose, so that's also a plus . He seems kind of mad the next practice, always saying, "We shouldn't have lost to them and you guys know it." Most of the time I do know it, he is right about that. The problem is, some of the players on our team don't try hard enough, but it's not that big of a deal to me because I'm there to try for victory, but my main goal is to have fun. My coaches have been telling me that I've been getting better and better so that's also a plus .

Next thing I'm going to talk about is the fact that I've actually made some decent friends since I've had my Ps3. I mostly play Call of Duty, so it's kind of hard to find good friends who want to talk to you, but when you find them, you're happy you waited that long to find them. Sometimes I like talking to them more than my real friends because a lot of times when I try to be serious around my friends, they try to be as obnoxious as possible. It isn't always a bad thing, sometimes it's a funny thing, but they have to back off every once in a while. But like I was saying, my Ps3 friends will actually listen to me and it feels like I made a good choice to trade in my Xbox 360 for a Ps3 .

Lastly, something that I'm very excited for is when I'm going to buy myself a 3DS. I lost my 3DS about 2 years ago and I lost with my Pokémon White in it, and guess how many hours I had on that thing? 100? Higher. 200? Higher. 300? Bingo... I literally had 12 and a half days of gameplay on there... But, I beat the champion League over 70 times, so I guess there was nothing new to really happen anyway. Well, since I lost my 3DS, I never got to play Pokémon White 2, Pokémon X/Y, or Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. But that's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to buy a 3DS so I can catch up on the Pokémon games that I missed . Of course it will be more games than just that, but that's what I'm starting out with. I already have a case full of DS games to tide me over until I can buy more games.

I can't think of anything else to talk about so I think I'm going to end the post here. I can't wait for this all to happen! I'm meeting my brother again, I'm getting more presents, and I'm buying a new 3DS so I can play Pokémon! I can't think of anything better to end off 2014! Haha, I'm going to be glued to my DS and I will give out my 3DS friend code thing once I get it. I might be getting a used 3DS for cheapness sake. I'll have to see how much money a new 3DS is, and no I don't want the new 3DS that's coming out. Anyway, peace

I'm happy for you about-- well everything! Your family, your birthday, and your friends. That does seem like a great way to end the year. And I have cousins and friends who are like that (not on Vizzed). Just got to pray for them. I should put my 3DS FC on here, as well! I'm looking for a good Smash Bros. player, though the game isn't mine (it's my sisters'), and my 3DS's L n' R buttons are broken (used to play a lot of Mario Kart 7, and only 3 players were able to beat me in online races and battles-- I was that good), can't play how I usually play. Anyways, hope everything goes well this Christmas for ya!

Kuti_Kat : How can everything not go well! There's not a very big chance that everything that can go wrong WILL go wrong. Maybe something I didn't plan for will pop up, but I can make up for whatever it is later. Either way, this is going to be one of the best Christmas's ever, even if my dad won't be here to celebrate. That's what Skype is for . Thanks for giving up some of your time to wish me a Merry Christmas, and that makes me feel like I have to wish you one too . Merry Christmas, and I hope nothing you've planned goes wrong for you as I hope nothing goes wrong for me .

Christmas is a time of good cheer, giving, and happiness and whatnot, correct? As long as you have the heart and mind intent on happiness, every one of your problems will take a backseat to what you actually enjoy. I hope you have some good times with your family and friends, and I will gladly give you my friend code and maybe play you at Smash and Pokemon when the time comes around. Merry Christmas to all!

*Saying this as I continue working on a massive presentation my English teacher assigned over break because freaking... augh!*

SMBLOZ123 : Thanks man, I wish I had my 3DS now but I guess I have to wait a little longer . I don't know if my teachers assigned me any homework because I accidentally slept in today... I guess it didn't help that I stayed up until 5AM talking to these people. Singelli   and yoshirulez!  xD. Well I guess that meant I missed my last day of school... My friends are going to think I did it on purpose, and I can understand that xD. Anyway, thanks, you seem like a good person and your teacher shouldn't assign homework over the break. Especially a lot of homework! I'm a little happy I missed school (a lot happy actually ) because I was behind on so much homework. I was behind in every class except one (still am, going into break). That was the end of the quarter so I don't know what to do about that D- I have/had in Geography... Haha, peace .

Edit: I was having problems summoning, so I tried to fix it myself xD I don't really know if it worked, but now you can click on their names as links xD. Haha, I really need help with summoning .

Sounds like you're going to have a blast this Christmas break! It's fantastic that you're good at basketball, since, you know, you're on a team XD

You're going to be amazed at how much the 3DS has evolved over the past 2 years. There have been a bunch of new updates, including a theme shop!

PacmanandMariofan : Haha, you say I'm good at basketball, but the reason it's so easy to get on a team here is because there's barely enough to have an 8th grade team (7 8th graders, 2 7th graders moved up). The past 4 years I've been playing basketball there weren't enough players for the grade I was in or the grade above/below me. I'm ok at basketball, but I don't get the ball much because I don't take good shots in games.

I didn't think there would be anything new about it, considering it didn't change once for the year I had it . It'll be very interesting, and I'll tell my brother to bring his so we can play together . This will be a very interesting summer indeed. Thanks, peace .
