At what age did you learn to ride a bike?

I learnt at 5 after falling off and smashing my head against an old hut.

Well at least I still don't have the scars.

But lesson learnt and I did not fall off again.

Notwithstanding the helmet and gloves that I now wear.

When I was almost 6 years old, I had this pole thing stuck to the back of my bike so people could still hold and secure me while I was having the feeling of riding my bike alone. One day in the park my grandpa didn't notice I was trying to ride of a small hill, and I was riding and steering my bike alone. Didn't even notice until he yelled at me from on the hill when I stopped moving

I think i was about 5 years old.

That was tricycle age, though. I didn't get my first "real" bike and learn to ride it for another three years.

That being said, i almost never bike anymore. I never have to and i have no need to get one (i still have my old one, but it handles like a tombstone).

I think it was when I was 7 or 8. It was fairly early on without a doubt.

I spent most of my childhood summers outside. On average I was outside 12 hours a day, and I did that almost every day of every summer.

So biking was one of those skills I picked up with friends and at a camp.

I don't ride anymore, but I've been thinking of using one to get to classes next semester.

I learned to bike when I was around 10, lol, and I think I've already forgotten how considering I haven't been biking for years.

You guys need to catch up . I learned at the age of 10 xD. You guys got nothing on me. It was fairly easy for me to learn, but maybe that's because I was, you know, 10 YEARS OLD! Haha, my grandpa showed me a little bit, but I was like screw it. I just got on and rode around like a boss. I was such a show off . Anyway, there you go. Peace .

I learned to ride bike when I was around 9 years old and my parents helped me before as I learn how to bike they don't help me because I can handle myself. That is the best feeling to ride a bike and travel in the different places where ever you want.

I believe I was around 7 or 8 when I started learning how to ride my bike. I struggled with it a bit here and there, but it didn't take me long to finally get it down. I was always outside as a kid growing up, either riding my bike, tossing a ball or just enjoying the weather. The funny thing is, I don't even remember using training wheels....it's a shame to see how technology has really taken over that privilege for some people. I like my Wii U and my 3ds and all, but it's important and even healthy to get outside once in a while. It's little things like this that make me wonder what the next generation will be like.

I still haven't.  Once the training wheels came off at 6 or 7, my parents wanted me to learn to ride normally.  Unfortunately, I had trouble, and just quit.  Eventually, I got old enough that I was too embarrassed to go outside and try to practice.  Now, 20 years later, I wish I had a bike I could try with, but it's just become normal not to ride.

So, lesson for parents: take off those training wheels when your kids are good and ready for it!  Don't push them too early.

It has to be around six or seven but I actually taught myself how to do it from watching the big kids doing it. I took the training wheels off by myself

HI. I am 7 and still learning to ride mine without train wheels.  I have had my first real bike since turned 5 years old. I love my helmet that has black Mohawk and jolly roger on side. For some reason I had hard time with train wheels on grass, they got stuck and tire spin in the middle. I am glad to see others didn't learn until my age.

The truth is, I never fully learned how to ride a bike. The first time that I was able to actually ride one was when I was 17 years old, but after that, I would ride bikes so rarely that it's as if I forgot how to ride a bike after each time.

I learned how to ride a bike at age 9 or something close to that. My parents waited until I was ready, which is why I learned pretty late. After I mastered riding a bike without training wheels, I always rode really fast and made dangerous sharp turns. Eventually, I decided to take it easy because I kept falling and even with protective gear on, I hurt myself somehow. I never ride a bike anymore and I might start again this Spring.

I was probably like 6 or 7 years old when I first learned to ride a bike. My sister ( who is about 6 years older than me ) taught me how, with the supervision of my parents. My mom videotaped me learning to ride the first time without training wheels. She still has that tape, and she will forever.

I remember I learned rather quickly to keep my balance. It didn't take long at all for me to start riding like a pro. However, I got a little cocky and started to try to ride with no hands. I fell straight into a bush next to the sidewalk. I remember I had a couple scratches, but I didn't cry about it. To this day, I still watch that video, and I'm still crying my eyes out from laughing so hard XD

I think I was 5? I grew up on my grandparents farm for a few years while my dad was deployed to Korea, so I had to learn how to ride a bike so I could get around the land since I would help my grandfather out with the irrigation and a few of the tractors.
