My PCs (a laptop and a Dell XPS 400 tower with a Nvidia card, more RAM and a 1/2 TB Hard Drive) aren't really technologically advanced, so I mostly play games like Source Engine games like Garry's Mod, TF2 or The Stanley Parable. Probably one of the best games i can run properly is Bioshock Infinite on Low/Very Low settings on my laptop.  However, do plan on building a "next-gen" PC one day myself though. (More info here if you actually want to know the planned specs. I'm considering on mostly a build with Intel and Nvidia because my old tower uses it, but maybe I might switch to AMD, IDK. AMD version: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Bitl/saved/H9v2FT Intel version: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Bitl/saved/km2xFT )

With 8 GB RAM, I do hope I can play Vizzed PSX games without my computer "hyperventilating" and slowing down to half its speed.

Oh man, my computer is horrible for games, some games run fine for me, but then their is some that I just can't handle. My computer has fast internet and everything but the graphics card and the ram and what ever else you need is old, and horrible. The hard drive is going, and the fan is constantly running. I wish I had a new computer, one day soon.

It all really depends on what kind of game it is. If it's a game with amazing graphics, it's probably going to run really slow on my laptop. However, games like Team Fortress 2 work completely fine, so I don't know if that's the case with all games.

I guess my PC can handle some light PC gaming, like league of legends medium graphics at 70 fps and some of the new games at decent fps in low graphics, but then again it is my dad's desktop, I am planning to build mine soon, so far I have $1000 saved up. I am planning to make it so that it can play new games in max settings. I want to become a hardcore PC gamer once I build my PC but for now I am satisfied with the games that I play. I recommend the PC experience for gaming at least in the aspect that the community is very flexible, there are many games and genres that are not available in the consoles (mobas, good mmos, emulators, 4k) hopefully some of you will get to experience this type of experience because it really is very different to the console experience. I still love and respect consoles though don't get me wrong.

My laptop is not great for video games. I bought it for this particular purpose, but it was not built for big games. I cannot get a great framerate for even Source engine games. At least indie games are much more friendly for low-end PCs. Dust: An Elysian Tail runs pretty well on my rig.

Oooh, how I WISH my laptop was good for gaming.

Unfortunately, even minecraft gives me only about 10 FPS now. I used to be able to run a solid 40. And no, it's not because of any malware or whatnot...my laptop is just old.
Like...really old.

It's 11 years old this year and has been dubbed a toaster by my tech-savvy friends.

Can't play Amnesia: the Dark Descent, can't play Rappelz, can't play minecraft, can't play Worms, can't even play PORTAL now.

can play Long Live the Queen and Voxerra (which is an alpha game my friend is making), and can play what games I've tried on here, but that's pretty much it. I want to be able to play my steam games again, I miss them! But first, a job must be found in order to save up enough money for a new laptop running Windows 7, with the ability to play games and run photoshop. If I can get that,  I will be so, so happy.

...though I will say that the Republic of Gamers line has me drooling, just a bit.

Nopee! My specs on my desktop are terrible. I can play a lot of variety of games on my desktop but it slows it down A LOT and sometimes the graphics pretty much mess up. I really need to get a new laptop or desktop with better specs soon because my desktop really sucks. I could probably play GTA 4 on my computer but it would be a really slow process.

supercool22 : I guess it would really depend on what your definition of "gaming" is. Some people think gaming is playing with other people online...games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, GTA, etc. But then some people think gaming is playing any game in general, whether online or offline.

My PC does support playing games, but not any of the newer ones. Most of the time, I play Unreal Tournament and Age of Empires on my PC. It may be compatible to play some of the newer games, but I wouldn't know which ones. I think the games would have to be made before 2007, like you said. Those would probably work the best on my PC.

I have doubts. I can barely operate the SNES emulator without having serious lags and slowdowns - quite annoying when I'm filming. I have yet to install Civilization IV, the most advanced game I own (I'm not much of a gamer anymore) to see if I need upgrades

My PC is alright for it, I have a few memory and processor problems but this thing is built pretty well. It can't handle my multitasking tendencies but it can run a high-end game as long as it's the only thing open.

My computer was built for gaming though annoyingly it came with an amazing CPU but a terrible Graphics card. Luckily a couple of years later, the graphics card was replaced and I can run most modern games at a very smooth framerate. Though I'm mostly after high performance than graphics, so I'm mostly happy on what my computer can run.
CPU: Intel I7-2600
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti (Cheap and a good graphics card)
RAM: 8GB

So far the most latest game I have tested was Shadow of Mordor, but I was thinking to try out Grand Theft Auto V soon enough.

This old hunka tech is... not very good for gaming. It's enough to play everything on the RGR except the PS1, and I can handle certain older PC games, but I get lag for a lot of the newer PC games.

My PC was built about 2 months ago. It's got a GTX 970 and an Intel i5 4690k. It is literally a powerhouse. I am playing Shadow of Mordor at ultra graphics and it is blowing me away.

The specs on my computer are really bad and technically it shouldn't even be able to play tf2 or Goat Simulator but it plays almost anything I throw at it with no trouble at all.

Even though this PC isn't built for gaming, it handles many things well. Skyrim at more than 35 FPS on medium settings.

So my vote is yes.

I think I already said that my PC is good for gaming and that I cab play over a hundred games on here with no problem but I think it took a turn for the worse lately when I tried to play GTA V. I tried to play the game and all of the enhanced graphics and whatnot caused a lot if lag and ever since then a couple other games have began to lag as well so it doesn't really look like much of a gaming computer anymore.
