It's some sort of security measure. It happens with reviews primarily. But it will happen with longer posts that you keep the the reply page open for a long time.

Unfortunately it means that everything is lost.

thing1 : I hate it when that happens. I used to save everything to Google Drive, but sadly got out of that habit. I then proceeded to lose several important posts due to my negligence. It was entirely my fault, since I knew my computer froze on occasion. It has a habit of doing it at important moments. I'm sorry you lost so much work.
