It is pretty much what Thing 1 stated to you before.

1- You need to make 10+ posts.
2- Be registered onto the website for at least 7 days.
3- Taking the newbie quiz is optional but you should take it anyway.

After you fulfill the requirements, it will take around a week for your member status to process and change.
