Linkums : Thanks. The video has to be uploaded to the Vizzed YouTube Account, which in turn, should get posted to the Game Page. So no, it can't be uploaded to your personal YouTube account. What you can probably do, though, is post a comment on your own video linking to your channel and get subscribers that way, if it helps.

I've finished my speed run. At the very end when I've defeated N. Cortex, I placed my cursor on the screen to click on it to make sure the F6 key would take the ending screenshot. It's noticeable on the screen, but is this still allowed to be entered for the contest? I'll leave you to decide. Here's my speedrun:

Could have been better. There are slight differences in the NTSC version that caught me off guard, a slight platform change in Slippery Climb before the checkpoint, Toxic Waste barrel speeds are slightly faster, and the bats in Sunset Vista and Lost City spawn slightly more frequently as well.

I'm starting to think I might not get around to competing for this. I want to, but I've yet to even beat the game, let alone finish it in one sitting, and I've been busy doing the virtual boy game thing and then I'll be busy playing Smash Bros. for Wii U. I hate to see it go unchallenged, but... we'll see. There's still half a month left. Crash Bandicoot is hard. T_T

Darkpower508 : Very good run, but you seem to be more careful than me in many places. With enough practice, you can run circles around me when I make my second attempt (I think).

Actually, you should watch the world record run and pay attention to what the speed runner is doing (minus glitches, which we're not allowed to do here). You can beat the first level much faster than previously like that!

Foodperson : If you have that much faith in me, I'll try again for next Friday. I would much like to keep first place in a speed run. My best unrecorded time is actually around 1:13:00, but that was on the PAL console.

I probably won't go around again. I realise now I would need to dedicate way too much time than I would prefer to get a time I would be proud of. I'm happy with this. If anyone can beat it for the contest, I will gladly tip my hat off to you. I will also buy a hat so I can actually do these gestures.

DiEdit: I somehow managed to beat the current record by a bit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsNY5KqKqu4 (1 Hour 7 minutes 7 seconds, a new personal best!). I did surprisingly well on The Lab, with no unintentional deaths, but my mistakes were spread out over the game to compensate for that successful level. Foodperson is a very challenging opponent on this game in terms of speedrunning :o!

The key advantage I had, beside spinning and jumping a lot, was getting the Green Gem from The Lost City in order to bypass Castle Machinery. Practice makes perfect, son!

Davideo7 : I made a mistake with my first speedrun in which I forgot to add the screenshot while recording, so I used a cheat code to get to the ending screen. It made it look like I beat the game in 2 minutes! However, this is fixed in my second (and probably final) run, as it's displaying my completion time correctly.
