thing1 : Sorry for not participating yesterday. I got busy and forgot about it. One quick correction: (36*2)/4(9-7)+6 is 15. Source: I'm a math major in college. You work the 36*2 first, then divide it by 4 times 9-7 (which totals 8). This gives you 9. Since 6 is not in parentheses, it is not considered part of the fraction. Therefore, the answer is 9+6, or 15.

Also, I think there has been a misunderstanding about today's rules.

I just want you guys to know that you don't have to play everyday, but that I will keep summoning you so that I can keep track of the points. 

Now many people wanted points for Day 4... and Day 4 was pretty much a free day. 

Before I get into Day 4's results, a few people have approached me about the math question on Day 3. Depending on how you are taught, the answer could have been 15 or it could have been 42. So, I looked it up, checked my math, and after finding all of the pages I found on the front page of Bing and Google search engines, this is the correct way to do the order of operations: 
First do all operations that lie inside parentheses.Next, do any work with exponents or radicals.Working from left to right, do all multiplication and division.Finally, working from left to right, do all addition and subtraction. ( Credit here )

According to those 3 sources, the issue that those of you who said 15 had was here: ( going to use MattyIce's work here to show you ) 
( 36 * 2 ) / 4 ( 9 - 7 ) + 6
72 / 4 ( 2 ) + 6
72 / 8 + 6
9 + 6

On this line: " 72 / 4 ( 2 ) + 6 ", according to those sources, since you had already found ( 9 - 7 ) and there is nothing further to do in the parentheses, 4(2) counts as 4*2, and since you are going straight across, you do 72/4, which gives you 18, and then you do 18*2. 
Now, this was pretty confusing to me too, since I was taught both ways. Both, I'm going to take multiple sources and multiple search engines' answers for this one. However, anybody that said 15, I will give credit to this time. 

supernerd117 : Since there are parentheses, you would do those first. And the / was supposed to say division, not a fraction. ( I know, basically the same thing, but still. See my above reasoning. )

thing1 : I just wanted to clarify that I did interpret that as a fraction. In college, that is customarily what we did in such cases. But I did check your answer in the most reputable online mathematics calculator, and your answer came out correct (and I got to see the logic behind it, as well). Thanks for clarifying!
