So today is my 10 year anniversary with my wife Julie.

It's crazy that exactly 10 years ago we got married and have managed to stay together happily for those last 10 years.

Not really sure what else I want to say.... mostly just want to celebrate with the people here who I have known over those last 10 years.

I know you haven't known me for ten years, but I have to say... this is absolutely awesome news!!! I always love hearing about couples that stay together..... too many people treat marriage like a dating game nowadays.  I'm so happy for both of you, and you are certainly an inspiration! The time does fly though.... I can't believe I've been married 6.5 years myself.

Sheesh, I have seen a bunch of one year threads, some two year ones, and even the four year ones, but your takes the cake. You sure have done a lot, but it was all worth it right? Will we see you in another ten years?

Wow... 10 years of marriage. That should tell you something right there.

Singelli : yeah, we're pretty happy that we've made it this far. It hasn't been perfect but it was worth it. We're at a point now where marriage is easy more often than it's hard.

zanderlex : this is a thread about my marriage not about how long I've been a member at Vizzed. However, in another 3 months I'll be doing another thread for the same amount of time.

geeogree : Darn it, I'm so sorry, I knew you were here for so long that that's the only thing that clicked when I read this. Well congrats, that's a bigger achievement.

I think it is great that you guys got through the hard times. Not many people are willing to do that. They would rather everything be easy and comfortable. I commend both you and your wife. It can't be done by one person alone. I hope you continue to be good examples to young couples. Celebrate your victoty!  I am also glad it is more easy than hard. Maybe someday I will reach that point. Kidding.

geeogree : At first I though you were referring to 10-year anniversary of the Vizzed Boards (because that will be in December), I don't know how that got into my head, maybe because I am such a derp.

Anyways, on topic, I just want to say congratulations of a decade long marriage, and although I ain't married, but most marriages don't last 5 years and yours last that long, you have a lot of great years ahead of you.

Congradulations!! I trust that you and your wife are really happy together and are perfect for each other, and I am also sure that your kids are growing up so well since I know yo have like 4 or 5 kids, family is your main value isn't it!!

I have known you for almost 5 years, and I definitley knows you more than u knows me especially because I've left this site like twice, and I really appreciate all the contributions you have made for this site and I trust that you'll keep this up for the years to come!!

Congratulations, that's awesome and rare now days. My wife and I have been together for nearly 11 years but have been married for only 6 1/2 years. Any tips on how to pull off a successful marriage?

Congratulations! Every time I've ever spoken with you, you've only had great things to say about Julie. You've never once said anything remotely negative, and I think that right there speaks volumes about your relationship. Hope you two have a great 10th anniversary

IgorBird122 : ironically both dates are really close to each other. Got married just a teeny bit before joining here. Both have lasted equally as long I'm pleased about that.

Eniitan : I feel the same way. Most days I can't believe it's already gone 10 years. At the same time it makes me sad to think that a 10 year marriage is a big deal. 10 years should be more common than it is.

Awesome-Kid : I wouldn't say we are perfect for each other but more that we've learned how to live together well and work together. I only have 3 kids actually but close enough Family is important to me. Nothing else really matters to me like my family does.

Wow, I can't believe you've been around that long. It's so hard to keep track of people after having been around for so many years. The time seems to bleed together.

greenluigi : We have 3 daughters. And yeah, the 10 year anniversary of Vizzed is coming up really soon. I think David is going to announce that one though I wouldn't want to steal his thunder on that one. I don't think any of us thought that Vizzed would be as big as it is way back then. Couldn't be happier that it is though.

Tips.... not sure really. Find your own balance. My wife and I have found what works for us and we stick to it. We're a team. We both contribute in our own ways and are both happy with the types of contributions we make. Forgive and forget (and actually forget). Don't sweat the small stuff. Don't yell or call each other names. Pray together. Keep the romance alive.

juuldude : We're taking a small trip next weekend. Nothing major (since we have a young family still) but it will be an extra long weekend and my parents are taking the kids for us. It will be so nice to get away. I think it will be the longest we've been away from all 3 of the girls since our youngest was born.

Rasenganfan2 : That doesn't mean there aren't negative things I could say. I simply choose not say negative things about my wife outside of our relationship. If we have a problem we keep it to ourselves and work on it. I find very little value in speaking badly about my wife to other people. It might become a habit

I'm honestly shocked I didn't congratulate you in that thread because I remember reading it and I even edited your post (don't remember why). I do remember congratulating you though, maybe I did it via PM or maybe you made a separate thread about you getting married.

So are you going to spend the weekend together and if so have you got any pre-arranged plans?

I hope you two have a great time and celebrate this amazing feat of marriage, especially today as there seems to be an increase in divorces these days which is pretty saddening to read about,. Plus it kind of detracts about how marriage is truly a commitment for life. 

Anyways i wish you all the best for the future and hope that your marriage lasts for years to come Perhaps if Vizzed reaches 20 years old as a forum we can embrace your 20 year anniversary as well

Just out of curiosity what is a 10 year marriage referred to as? E.G silver, gold, wood etc. 

geeogree : Sounds good, are you going to another country? Or another state? I hope your girls will have a lot of fun with your parents as well, I remember that once when I was young I stayed at my Grandma while my parents were in Italy and I really missed them that night.
