I've dealt with depression for awhile, and really the only thing I can do that helps me is try to think positively. I try not to think about the bad things as much. One way I do that is by concentrating on less stressful things, and try to think of happy thoughts. I also go for walks it  helps a lot with my depression. If you ever feel depressed, all you can really do is try to think of what is good in your life. Think of all the good things you have that others many not. Also, this sounds silly, but if you get depressed try splashing your face with water or being around water, it is very calming.

I have dealt with depression before, my solution to depression is to take some long walks while you take your mind off of those things that makes you depress, and you can take a walk anywhere like around the park, the city, your neighborhood, or just even in your backyard. Walking is always good.

I have dealt with depression by reminding myself that everyone makes mistakes.

I know it sounds cheesy, but it's true. If you need a little sympathy, here's this: I have sent a person to the hospital by accident once before. I didn't mean to, but I did, and after a long time I finally stopped looking down on myself for it and accepted the fact that it was an accident and I didn't mean to do it.
