The 15 minute video limit that was placed on the Vizzed YouTube account 6 months ago has been removed. This means that you can now upload videos of almost any size to the YouTube account. All videos that were uploaded in the past 6 months that were larger than 15 minutes were automatically deactivated by Google but now that we no longer have a restriction, I was able to reactivate those videos.

Next month I'll be hosting an RGR competition with a cash prize for those who are willing to record large videos and upload them to the Vizzed YouTube account. If you do plan to participate in that, be sure to wait until October 1st to upload your large videos since only videos uploaded after October 1st will count for that competition.


The 15 minute restriction was placed on the account 6 months ago when a Japanese company filed a copyright claim on one of the commercials on the Vizzed YouTube account. Since then, I removed all of the commercials from the main Vizzed YouTube account (that account is now dedicated to just gameplay videos) and moved them to a new YouTube account titled Vizzed Video Game Commercials
.


I've also made a few small updates to the video uploader page. You can now insert keywords to the video that you're uploading and it'll automatically insert useful keywords by default which means that if you forget to add additional keywords, it'll still receive keywords. If the video is of a rom hack, that is mentioned in the title and related keywords will be added. A few other small updates have been made to the page as well.

I was waiting for that. Now I can upload playthroughs and such without having to break them into parts again.

One question though, what are the other small updates to the page? I don't see other change.

This is cool, maybe now once I start recording again, I can upload some of my regular videos to the channel isntead of just to my own.

Can we upload VGM videos to the Vizzed Music channel? I record a lot of VGM videos for fun, and I want to know if it is possible.

It's a good idea to move the gameplay videos and the commercial videos to different channels so that this won't happen again. Who is that Japanese company, by the way? And what video did they flag you for? Having a commercial that was probably at least a decade or two old on your channel couldn't possibly be hurting their brand or their copyright, could it?

I am glad that the restriction is finally removed. The 15 minute limit rule was just way too annoying for me. Now we all get to look at a video in one shot with no limits or problems.

I am so glad that the restriction was removed as this means I don't have to break up the videos that I will be uploading. Breaking them up made no sense some times and just got difficult to find a good time to break it up.

I can easily see that there is a 11 hour video now on this channel for the Mario Paint drawing contest, how can 11 hours from vizzed compress to 7 GB, though? :O

Aside that, this is very nice, because now I am looking forward to uploading most of my upcoming videos using a computer with the restriction gone and that I now use the AVI and then compress in *cough*WMM*cough* so now this made me think of something. I was thinking of doing a TAS on the original Super Mario Bros warpless and warps, along with Sonic Jam 6 warps and warpless (world 4-2 vine is missing so warping to world 5) now because of this. Waiting a few days until I'm ready because I am trying to RTA the first Mario game before I TAS it with warps and it is stupid hard to speedrun world 8, even at a not-so-good skill level. Like I said, some videos I will still use my bad iPod because it could be a game I am playing from another game that isn't in the RGR (IE; playing Sonic Drift 2 on Sonic Adventure DX, or playing a Pokemon Mini game on the GameCube Pokemon Channel) or I would just be too lazy.
