I don't know because I felt that Sonic was dead after Sonic Adventure 2 but bounced back with Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations.  Now with Sonic Boom being a big flop, I'm thinking that Sonic might be dead again.  The only thing that's saving it is the animated show on Cartoon Network.
