I bought this game at a huge farmer's market because it had the word "Pokemon" in the title. I still have a physical copy of the game, except it doesn't save correctly, so whenever I restart my GBA, the game has no saved file T_T

BUT, that is why there's Vizzed

Anyways, the unusual style of a "Pokemon Card Game" is introduced, with a guided step-by-step, demo-duel. You are also able to do the demo as many times as you want for people who are unaware of certain moves during duels, and the demo covers most of the features in the duel. The duel itself ends after your Pokemon attacks, like any regular Pokemon game, so make sure to do whatever you need to do beforehand.
You are given the option of choosing 1 of 3 decks from the Professor, and from that point on you start your journey to defeat the 8 club masters and the ?4 grand masters.?

As far as story goes, I think it is very lacking. I usually over train what I should to beat the tougher opponents, but I could probly beat the game on a weekend, on Vizzed. You are needed to beat about 30 different people, and you're able to battle them as many times as you want though. After you beat the game, you're able to replay everything from where you left off. Anything you won after beating the final bosses is kept, and it's almost like your victory isn't even acknowledged, so you are able to beat the final bosses again. I think that Nintendo probably could have made the story MUCH longer and much more interesting like how they did in the Japan-Only sequel to this game....

The music, however, is very enjoyable for me. The normal trainer music is average. It's good, but not special. The boss music, I find is very enjoyable. Even though this is on a GBC, where 8-bit music and graphics are used, I think that this game makes the most out of it's current limits.

Again, there is a demo for how to duel, so that should take a lot of the confusion out of playing if you do the demo maybe 3 times, before you start dueling on your own and get a feel for how the duel runs. Also, I made a strategy guide for this game, so be sure to check that out, as it has tips on how to prepare for tougher battles...
