What is your favorite Pokémon hack?
Do you have a Pokémon hack that is not on here?
Do you want to share a hack you found with others?

Post it here, why you like it, and where it is from if you know.
This is the place to talk about what your favorites are and why
they are your favorites. Think of it as a poll, only it isn't because
of the large amounts of choices that you have. Also, you can
specify what your favorite Pokémon are and your
"Dream Team" if you want!

I would definitely have to say that I have played some of my best pokemon hacks on vizzed, those include pokemon light platinum, flora sky, rising darkness and quite a few others as well. I don't think I have ever played another pokemon hack anywhere else aside from vizzed. Even though there are a lot of great hacks out there, I would have to say that Pokemon light platinum stood out the most to me just because it has two regions and it was a lot more challenging than your average pokemon game. That being said though, a lot of the hacks here are really top notch and they really take pokemon to a whole new amazing level.

My favorite Pokemon hack...

This is an honestly tough question, seeing as I'm not fond of most of the more ambitious projects *cough*Victory Fire*cough*.

That doesn't mean I can't pick a couple of hacks, but I do believe the likes of Light Platinum and Flora Sky to be overrated. I can't give a single favorite hack, so you'll have to put up with my rambling.

The first of my two favorite hacks is Touhoumon Purple. If the name is unfamiliar, that's because it isn't in the RGR. The game takes vanilla Emerald and replaces every Pokemon with animated puppets that resemble the cast of the Touhou franchise. The other one is Yet Another Fire Red Hack, one I've previously written a review on. It's main claim to fame is that it has 151 Pokemon spanning the first five generations. Other than that, it's vanilla Fire Red.

Both games have two things in common. First, they both edit the roster in some way, shape, or form while leaving plot untouched. Second, they're difficult. Really difficult. But for all the right reasons. Both rely more on good AI and balanced enemy movesets for difficult, instead of obscene level curves and stupidly-high BSTs. Sure, the curve can be a bit steep, but it's no worse than Platinum.

Then there's Dark Violet.

Dark Violet is a hack that has gone through many iterations - the most recent one going up to the seventh gym. It's a Kanto game with a roster spanning five generations and a completely redone Kanto. By completely redone, I mean that the hacker created what amounts to a Gen V Kanto, with all of the plot that descriptor entails. My only objections are the quality of the dialogue, and certain design choices the hacker made. But even with those flaws, Dark Violet is the main reason I dislike only most of the ambitious hacks.

I would say my favorite Pokemon hack is Pokemon Pyschic.
It has legendaries in the beginning of the game and you can also buy all of the master balls that you want for free.

It's still in its beta, but Pokemon Dark Energy is, in my opinion, one of the more underrated Gold/Silver/Crystal hacks out there. The creator, MIksy91, made the hack to be more.... adventurous, as how I would put it. There are Pokemon Gyms, but they don't give out gym badges. Instead, they gives items that helps the protagonist on his quest.

What is his quest? To retrieve a special set of Orbs that existed within the hack's region 1,000 years ago.

Without giving out too much, here's a video from the creator's Youtube channel:

My favorite hack will have to overall be Aquamarine by
tgags123 :

its a very simple hack with just a few changes, but I play it more than any other hack, I must have started a new game at least a hundred times, and I have streamed and recorded a bunch of times and have taken so many screenshots.

I would say personally my favourite Pokémon hack would defiantly be Pokémon Old White even though it was never finished or I don't think it was. It was a really fun adventure the story line of the game was super cool and you could catch a large variety of great Pokémon. I would highly recommend this to fans. Next game in my favourites would be Flora Sky and Light Platnium.

scarlot: My two favorite Pokemon hacks are Pokemon Rebirth and Pokemon Ultra Violet. In Pokemon Rebrith, I loved it in the first place just because at the beginning of the game, there is wild starters and two legendary Pokemon found in Prof Birch's lab. Note: There is spoilers here so be careful. In Pokemon Rebrith, you can find many wild Kanto and Johto Pokemon out there. I highly suggest that you should try that hack. It is awesome!! Now for Pokemon Ultra Violet, there is another spoiler here. In this hack, you can find shinies at lot more easier!! So don't worry about finding a shiny rattata at the beginning of the game, you can still find it anyway lol. In this hack, it is really possible to catch the 386 Pokemon without trading! You can check how to catch them in Pokemon Ultra Violet in the Cheat, Codes and Tips description.

Decisions, decisions. I love all kinds of Pokemon things, especially well made hacks. Makes it hard to decide.

But, I guess my personal favorite is Pokemon Shattered Dreams (Beta 1). I hope to see it updated soon, I loved playing it until I reached the end of the beta.
