Digital Copies of games should have values as well. Not only does it hurt your rating, but it hurts your rarity. I know you can't buy them off of ebay, so maybe if you have a Digital Copy, Take the Average " Very Good "  value for complete and loose values, maybe, and that would be that value of a digital game. As for the rarity, just do it the way physical copies of games rarity are figured out.

Also, I know my Limited Edition Camouflage XBOX 360 Controller is worth something, and not " $0.00 ". That needs to be taken care of too, by the way. Things that don't have any value should be fixed.

Summoning some people that might like to talk about this, and would ultimately be a part of getting this changed if it were to go into place.

The only guy who has control over the coding of this is Dave.

As for the value of items which have no value, like the Camouflage Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, the value is calculated by completed listings on ebay. Even if the item has a product page on ebay, if there were no completed listings then there will be no value.

But yeah, I know David would ultimately have the final say so since he would have to do the coding, but I really think that Digital Copies of games should have a value, even if it is a separate category, like for example, " XBOX 360 Games " and " Digital XBOX 360 Games . Because about half of my Digital games were actually bought. 

thing1 : How do you think digital games would have a value? Once you purchase them, you can't re-sell them. So what would be the point of having a value. Even if there was a good reason, how would one calculate the value of a digital game that you can't transfer ownership of.

Jordanv78 : So, you are telling me that if I buy a digital copy of a game for say... $50, it is worth $0.00? Yeah, no. I just spent $30 on 4 games that were on sale, but yet they are worth nothing because they are digital copies. That is wrong. 
Maybe instead of taking the average Like New value from a complete and loose copy of the game like I mentioned in the OP, you could just manually enter what you payed for the game. However, I still think that my original suggestion is a lot better, and more fair. 

As for the reason, I pretty much already covered that: If I pay $50 for a game, I expect it to be worth something to me if I actually payed $50 for the darn thing. 

thing1 : I'm not sure why you seem like you are getting upset at me.... but I'm assuming that you've learned the life lesson that just because you pay a certain amount for something, doesn't mean that it's worth that same amount, or even close to it, when you re-sell it.

Video games
Computers Or any electronic item
Automobiles

My understanding of the current valuation system is that these are what the games currently go for on average when you sell them on sites like ebay. Since people can't re-sell these digital games, this means they are worth 0$.

I'm wondering how you wish to put a value on something that really doesn't have a value outside of what you payed for it. The current system would have to be completely revamped to make room for games that you can't re-sell. We can't just make up random values for things that aren't truthful.

Jordanv78 : No, I am not mad at you. And yeah, I learned my lesson with values with my first car after I totaled it. 

I just think that it is not right for our Digital Games to affect our Rarity and Grade, which is what most people, I would assume, look at right away. 

If they can't have values, then should be at least be separated from the physical games, or at least no affect the grade and value.

Other video games that are physical copies like xenoblade chronicals are rare and have limited copies and are the reason they are worth so much.

You can just make unlimited copies of a digital game. Thats why Xbox and valve games never go out of stock.

No one cares about your rarity and grade. Lots of sports games affect mine cause no one buys old sports games on Ebay cause no one wants them so my sports games have a rarity of like 6/10 each

thing1 : I would agree with regards to the fact that the digital games shouldn't count towards your rarity or overall value. Maybe there is a way to disregard that from the total (if everyone else was on board with it.)

Short term solution: Don't put any digital games in your collection. It's that simple. 

Long term solution: Either remove the option to say you have digital games or just change it so it cant change rarity etc... 

Or you know just don't care about a Letter and enjoy your collection like all collectors do.

I just think that it either the digital games should be separated from physical games, and / or not effect your collections rarity value ( which doesn't really matter to most, but I am interested in it otherwise ) . 

Digital games don't have value so it doesn't make sense for them to give you value. I probably own more Xbox 360 arcade games than most people and I'm not complaining about this. I could make it so that the digital stuff doesn't count toward the average rarity but that's the only thing they're affecting. The digital games aren't going to affect your rating grade btw.

As for games not having values yet, this is a big project and you can't possibly expect us to have prices for 60,000+ gaming items. We'll eventually get there but we only have a few staff members dedicated to this.

I think accessories and systems should definitely count but like I said, if something doesn't have a value, I could just make it so that it doesn't count toward the average rarity of that specific system.

Jordanv78 : Digital games aren't going to drop your collection grade, the only thing they'll do is drop the average rarity for whatever system you have them for.

Digital games don't have value because if you wipe the console, like Game Stop does when you trade it in, you won't be able to get them back, so no value if you lose it.

Davideo7 : What if they didn't have a value at all. I mean, it just seems bad to have them say $0.00 under the value bar. Or maybe, have a separate page for them? Have a physical copy collection page, digital copy collection page, and a wishlist page? Would that be possible and could that work?
