While looking for A Certain USB for my current Laptop, I found something that gave me tears of Nostalgia. it was my First Ever Laptop that Ran On Windows XP. The Battery Is very Low, but It works fine but slow, and also can't connect to Internet anymore. I played my First ever PC games on the laptop, I felt like I was 8 again. All I want to say is..... I miss the days of Windows XP those were great.

bostonblokhed1 : Yeah, I love Nostalgia too. I also have a Computer who is old and Windows XP. It's like 10 years old. It still works fine! Ahh I remember the old days I was playing on it Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Scooby Doo and more! But now my dad use it more than I do. I now use my laptop hp windows 7. I remember the best days, I was 7 years old.

I have a Dell desktop from 2006 running XP still. I even still use it today (I'm using it right now!). It may not do many modern PC games, but I can still play a lot of good older games (and emulators!), and this thing still surfs the web fast, given I have a good wired connection.

I have a 12+ year old computer that runs on Windows XP. It has been rebooted many times due to viruses getting onto it. It still works well. The internet speed on it is pretty fast if there aren't any cable problems at my house. I still remember when I was 7 and played Pac-Man, and when I was 9 and played Super Mario Bros. Deluxe on this computer. I love Windows XP because it has Microsoft Sam on it because it has my favorite computer sounds, for example, the logging out theme. I love this computer too and I have a lot of memories of it, but I want to get a new computer and copy some data from this one to a new one.

bostonblokhed1 : I have an xp, it's total crap now, but back then it was the best consumer model money could buy (before we went piss broke). I remember playing my first rom on there, Pokemon red... You could actually get it to be faster if you back up all your files that you need and reset it to factory condition, but remember it won't take newer software very well...

I am laughing about this because until very recently, as in, a few weeks ago recently, my main, and indeed, my only personal computer at home ran off of XP. It was an ancient HP Pavillion and the bae overheated pretty easily. I called him Trooper.

For me it's not so much nostalgia for the old system as sweet release now that I have finally upgraded to a machine that runs Windows 7.

Windows 7 for the win. I actually prefer Windows 7 over Window 8, even though I am an XBOX guy.

But wow... a laptop that still runs that is that old? Mine is from either 2009 or 2011. I need to get a new one so I can actually play games on it, watch movies, stream, etc... AND THAT DOES NOT OVERHEAT!!!

But yeah... I was going through my portable hard drive last night, and had some nostalgia, so I know what you are talking about there.

Lucky! My family's Windows XP broke years ago. =/

But I still use my 2008 Vista once in a while. It was pretty high-end for it's time, and it still works well.

I did have a scare just a few months ago. I thought the old laptop had died.

Fortunately it was just a problem with my new charger, not the computer.
