I have mood swings frequently because I have a bad brother, and lately I've been having them more frequently because I might start being much less active on Vizzed in less than a week! I have practically the whole month booked already! I keep going from happy to sad, or happy to angry. I can handle mood swings well because I'm very used to them. How often do you have mood swings? How well can you handle them?

I don't usually have my mood changing in an instant, And, I have the best brother you can ask for, So I rarely fight with him.  But I have that a lot, Especially now in what has been happening in my life. I can relate to you, As you probably know, Since I think all of my best friends know about it.

I've been having mood swings a lot lately too. But mine are for different reasons. And to be honest I don't deal with it well. I'll get them whenever the sun starts to set and then I just get depressed for about an hour or two. I get it no matter who I'm with. Friends or family or just alone. But the only thing you can do is work through them until they pass.

I have had mood swings and problems with mood swings my entire life. I was diagnosed with a mood disorder when I was younger. It's something you can get through you just have to work through it. I take medication now for mine and I'm doing a lot better but that is just because I have had mood swings for so very long. Now I have got to the point in my life where I only switch moods if I don't sleep enough or don't eat right, different things. I hope it works out with you and your brother. I don't get along with my sister to much so I know how you feel.

I don't have mood swings too often although there are days when I'm so bored that I don't like to do anything and other times there are days I am daydreaming too much and can't focus. Luckily, my brother is very nice although he and my sister get in little fights sometimes, they had this yesterday as well

My sister has moved out in college and only comes by to do laundry sooooo I really don't have that problem :p

The only times I have "mood swings" are when I am tired or it's late at night. In those cases, I am usually extremely fun, friendly, and find everything funny or I am not in the mood to take shenaniganus acts from anybody.

I can have mood swings. :/ Of course, Chronic Depression, Severe P T S D, and military service ( not associated with the the P T S D )  is not exactly a good combination. 

As for being able to control them, I usually do alright. I mean, I do not take it out on anybody else, but still. The way I describe it is it is like a cup. You keep putting stuff into it until eventually... it spills over and everything falls out.

Well, I nearly sliced my brother's head off with a katana once, but I am generally able to control it really well. It just depends on how I am feeling, but he is a really awful person. Ironic considering I nearly disembodied his head, but eh.

I only get mood swings every now and then, but I am usually able to control my mood easily. My mood tends to change drastically either at random, or I'm a good mood and something has to go and ruin it, or even the opposite.

I've recently had many mood swings and the scale goes from happy to utterly depressed. I have bipolar disorder and I'm starting to believe that my current medication isn't the right one for me. Keeping my emotions in line hugely depends on the day. When I'm not busy and have nothing to do it's really difficult to keep myself from breaking down. It's funny because usually I'm such a positive person.
