Today, I will be reviewing battleblock theater. First, I will tell you tell you the story of battleblock, it is sad, and funny.
(8) STORY: you and your friends have shipwrecked on a island, to find a theater, because of the rain, and lighting (BOOM), you go in, to find out that your best of best friends, Hatty, has been given a hat by huge cats, but this is no ordinary hat, it has a red glow to it, and right then, Hatty has endless tears go down his face, and betrays you, and now you are forced to perform for these cats, to earn your friend's freedom and Hatty's freedom,(and of course yours)
(9) GRAPHICS: let me be the first to say that this game looks awesome, it has a cartoon art style to it, and the cut scenes are as funny as they could be, and they do it by puppets and paper cut outs on sticks, and it works for what it is going for, and the characters you can unlock, look sometimes a little plain, but look great anyhow
(8)SOUND: this game has one of the best narrators I have ever heard in a video game, and he is the cause of most of the humor in the game, but none of the characters can speak, except for one that uses a text bobble (no sound), but most of the music sounds good in this game, with my favorite being the secret song. The sound effects sound good, like grunts, or explosions, and punching.
(9)ADDICTIVENESS/(10) Depth: let me say that this game will have you coming back for more, because the story mode, will take a little bit to complete, and you have arena, playlist, and co-op story mode, so yes, the game is Addictive, and there is tons to do, so i will give the Depth a 10, and the addictiveness a 9.
(7)Difficulty: dieing in this game is like in super meat boy, it is common, and I may say that in the last level, it took me a lot of tries to get it right, and some playlist are pretty hard too.
