Most people  have one. A reason that they love gaming. It could be almost anything under the sun, from inspiring confidence, to giving some one hope for the future. Games are an art, and my question is, do you love them, and why?

I do love games. They provide me with worlds that I would never be able to visit. They provide me with a way to spend my time with joy. They provide me with a way to escape life. I have loved them ever since I first played them. I started off with some Pokemon, and it grew into a love of a wide variety of games the likes of which many people never see. It is a very fun and enjoyable hobby, but it can consume a lot of time and money. 

My tale is not that long, but it is the truth. When I was a kid, my mom was hurt very badly, very often, to the point where she would go to the emergency room. When there, me, my sister, and my dad, never had much to do. We got to know the nurses, their names, all that fun stuff, but that would only last so long, so we had to find something else to do to keep from worrying too much. My dad would go and check on my mom, and do puzzles after that. My sister, took to reading and writing to the point where she now has had a poem of her published. Me, I turned to gaming. At first, I would game on the Game Boy Color I got as a gift from my mom, but as the years went on, I began to get better consoles and more games. Those games kept my mind from dwelling on where I was or why, they were my escape. They were able to make my forget my harsh reality, and go to a new one, one where I could be the hero. They kept me from going into very bad habits (I.E. Cutting myself, etc.) They were my lifeline, keeping me from going over the edge. And that is why I love gaming.
