Here's a nice batch of updates.


New Games and Systems
Over the past few weeks, 7 retro game systems have been added to the Retro Game Room which has increased the RGR library by around 1,336 games. The added new systems include:
-Sega Saturn (75% of the games work)
-Phillips CD-i (only around 25% of the games work)
-Atari Jaguar (only around 10% of the games work)
-Pokemon Mini (most of the games work)
-Sony PocketStation (75% of the games work)
-Magnavox Odyssey 2 (most of the games work)
-Sega Pico

Since all of these games still need to be tested and configured, they are currently only available to Beta Testers of the site. To become a Beta Tester, you need to buy the "Beta Test Ticket" for 10,000 Viz here:

Each system will become available to everyone once the staff has finished testing and configuring the games of each system. The CD systems and the systems with a lot of games will take longer to test.

Some of the games for these systems may not work and some may not function properly. Some of these can be fixed once the staff get to them while others may never be playable. Also, I'm still working on adding more games to these systems.

New Item Shop Item: V-Machine CD
As some of you know, the V-Machine item lets you play all games for free once you've paid the Viz for it but it doesn't let you play CD games for free (due to their disk space and bandwidth). I've added a new item to the item shop called 'V-Machine CD' which also covers CD games for 50,000 Viz (except PSX).

-Sega Saturn
-Turbo Grafx CD
-PC-FX
-CDi

Playstation Games
Vizzed has had Playstation games for quite a while and the library keeps on getting bigger and bigger. The only way to view and play our Playstation library is by purchasing the 'Playstation' item for 50,000 Viz:

New YouTube Channels
I've created 3 new YouTube channels which will have different purposes:
Vizzed Video Game Commercials: A channel dedicated to video game commercials (this is where all the old commercials will go)
Vizzed Video Game Music: A channel dedicated to video game soundtracks
Vizzed Productions: A channel dedicated to events, tournaments, competitions and compilation videos

Of the 3 new channels, the only one which has content currently is the 'Vizzed Video Game Commercials' channel. The other 2 channels will get content added next month.

Good gravy! now I never seen a sega Pico and a pokemon mimi (never knew pokemon had a console before)
but I'm glad there's a sega saturn but WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD IT COST SO MUCH JUST TO PLAY IT?! Is it because there's like sooooooooo much er...memory or something that take a long time to download and cost that big? well I;ve seen the MO2 from YouTube videos the CD-i (such I heard it sucks!) and a pocketstation? (must be for the Japanese PlayStation) well I'm sure they're all good. even though they're beta they're ok until well...its been improved.

Wow! I can't wait to play the masterpiece that is the CD-I!

But seriously, this is great. I've been waiting to play on a saturn!

So just a quick question: Should we sell the V-Machine and buy the V-Machine CD? It still allows access to all the regular RGR games, right? No harm in having both, though, I presume? 

faing : Sega Saturn games are big and therefore suck up a lot of disk space and bandwidth. That costs me so the best way to balance it out is to charge a lot of Viz for those games.

Boxia : Out of all the systems that were recently added, Sega Saturn is the one I'm most excited about.

danielbelitch : It doesn't hurt to own but but yeah, the V-Machine just lets you play all of the non-CD systems for free.

Davideo7 : ah is that so? well that answers that question. and I do hope for our next upcoming console. they are good. I'm not sure what the know about the Sega Pico and pokemon mini. perhaps you might about those two.

faing : I've actually been thinking about an idea I have for large games that cost a lot of Viz. The idea is to allow users to play the game with ads (the ads would be where the chat room is) and in return, the games costs far less Viz. This would help pay for the cost of the large games. Of course users would still have the option to play the games without ads and it'd probably just be 1 ad, maybe positioned so that the chat room could still be there too (but half the size as it is now).

Davideo7 : that can help but one con....there could be complaints on it. don't ask me why I just think. other than that. that's a good idea.

faing : It'd be completely optional, they wouldn't have to play with the ads, it'd just allow them to play the game with less Viz (maybe even no Viz).

Davideo7 : ah ok then. well I'm glad that you add more consoles. Can't wait fore more consoles. Or more games. At least you give us on the updates.

Omg, omg omg!!! I see Sega Saturn on the list! And I know what game I am going straight for! It's sonic 3D blast the Saturn version! I've been like waiting forever and a long time to try it out! Thanks David!! Waking up to see this made my day! ^-^

Hey, you added the Pokémon Mini! I thought you wouldn't do that as it had a 'red circle'

Epic update So many new systems, most of which I like. I must get the playstation item soon (Unless I already have it and I've just forgotten about it) 

 V-Machine CD. I've been waiting for some update to the shop. I just got enough Viz to get the V-Machine. What extra systems does the CD play?

Also, I'm embarrassed to say this, but I've been looking forward to Pico games... Yeah.

Third, forgive me for saying this, because I know you probably get request after request for this, but can we have DS and Game & Watch games? I know I requested G&W games before,  but... I just figured that DS games might be possible, because we already have Playstation games (It probably has nothing to do with it, but still, I think if we have Playstation games, we could have DS games. Also, we now have Pico games, which is a step in the right direction, notably because of the touchscreen.)
