He was given a desk job while he awaits the outcome of his investigation that could potentially lead to disciplinary actions.

Without breaking any oaths that I made when I got out of the Army, I personally believe that the man is a traitor, and actually sold military secrets to the Taliban. My reasoning for this? I am part of a Facebook page, and one guy served with Bergdahl while overseas when the guy went "missing". Also, did you see how healthy he looked? He looked pretty good. The Taliban do not treat their prisoners well...

What are you thoughts on this? Do you think Bergdahl should have received the desk job? What is your opinion on the whole Bergdahl thing?

Note: I wrote it like "Army Sgt" on purpose. As far as I am concerned, the man is a traitor, and should receive death by firing squad for the crap he has done.

Ditto on the traitor thing. He willingly left his post, which is another crime, then knowingly tried to join the Taliban. He endangered lives needlessly, and is the cause of good men's deaths. In my eyes, he is incredibly selfish. Why he's out and that Marine in Mexico isn't boggles my mind.

Armydude : Don't even get me started on the Marine in Mexico. I mean, I can kind of see that one. He did cross the border with firearms, even if it was on accident. However, Mexico should be communicating with us on the situation.
