I discovered YouTube some time around 2005 when I was looking at Wikipedia's list of Internet memes. I was a very dorky kid. Since then of course the YouTube player has been getting bigger and more high-def. These days high-definition (720p and up) or at least high-quality (360p-480p) have pretty much been taken for granted as the standard. I don't even think 144p was the standard when YouTube first started out; they must have already had 240p. So when was the last time you watched a video on a really tiny quality setting?

I've just moved into a room in a new place, and the Internet is both slow and shared with everyone else in the house. I've frequently had it lock up while watching videos, so every single time I open a new video I tell YouTube to tone it down to 144p, just to reduce the strain on the network. As a '90s kid, it doesn't bug me that much. I wish I could set it as a default setting, but I guess YouTube figures even I can't have that bad of a connection.

I know a lot of folks are still on dial-up (yes, seriously) so they've probably had to watch videos in low quality. What do you say, Vizzed community? When was the last time you watched a video in 144p?

I had an account then but changed it around 2012. i find it funny how people are moaning about the Google+ and copyright stuff when it was a lot worse back then. Youtube has gotten a lot better over the years and I can't believe it is away to be 10 years old next year. The last time I watched a video at 144p was when I first watched Stupid Mario Brothers back in late 2007. Can't remember what episode though. Good times.

Yesterday, actually. My Internet connection wavers due to my distance from my already crappy router. Videos are sometimes forced into extremely low-quality, and I hate it.

The last time I watched a video in 144p was over 3 months ago. I did it because videos lag a lot on my computer unless they're on a low-quality setting.

Never watched a video in 144p ever on any thing for any reason for anything.

I only watched a 144p vid once, and that was because it was the only resolution available :/. I never watch a 144p vid intentionally, because i can always do 720p or higher.

I don't know if VHS movies count, but if they do, that would be my answer. If they don't count, then I don't know if I have ever watched a video in 144p.

I've often watched YouTube in 144p. Our home internet is not that great, especially when there are more people using it at the same time. I would love to watch youtube videos in at least 720p all the time, but there are some videos where it's not really necessary for me to watch high definition crisp video, so I just don't care about it often.
