Championship Edition? Alright, I guess I can check it this out for a mere $5.00 . Oh, six different maps? That's it... Really?



GRAPHICS: 9 ( For Pac-Man, it's pretty good)

For this game being a Pac-Man game, it's pretty good. I remember one time specifically I was doing Extra Mode 2, and I grabbed a Power Pellet. The screen went all trippy, but in a good way. It was kind of cool looking. Definitely unique for a Pac-Man game.



SOUND: 8 ( Lot's of Unique Sound? Gets a good rating from me )

This game has the normal Pac-Man sounds, and they go where they are supposed to go, sot hat automatically gets it a 4. But the reason I gave it an 8 was because there are unique sounds in this game. When the timer goes down a full minute, there is a sound for that. When you are in the final 15 seconds ( or 30... one of the two ), there is a sound for that. Each "map" has it's own music.

The sound is this game is unique compared to other Pac-Man games I have played.



ADDICTIVENESS: 8 ( Surprisingly High, but I will give credit where it is due )

Any Pac-Man game is going to be addictive in some kind of way. This one, though... It's got a certain factor that makes you keep wanting to come back to try to beat each mode, if not at least once. They make the game difficult like any Pac-Man game, but way each "map" is set up in just interesting.



STORY: 5 ( Not really a story in the game, but meh, whatever )

There really isn't a story in this game other than beat the modes, so I'll just leave this section at that.



DEPTH: 3 ( It's Pac-Man... Need I say more? )

The reason I gave it 4 in this department instead of a 2 or even a 1 is because of the way the maps are. They make you think, instead of just trying to get points... You actually have to survive for the time periods.


UPDATE ON DEPTH RATING: I had to change the depth from a 4 to a 3. I decided to do this mostly in part because after i finally beat the last " map " that I need to beat, I really haven't touched it since, except to keep my little brother occupied for a few minutes one day. So, this game has very little replay value for me. It's just surviving for a few minutes on each map. That's it. 

DIFFICULTY: 7 ( For a Pac-man, this is hard... but a fun hard )

For a Pac-man title, this game is somewhat hard. But, believe it or not, it is a fun kind of hard. You will get down to 3 minutes left on the 3rd choice of the 6, and you'll be all "This is it... I am finally going to make it!", and in that moment, you mess up, and allow the Ghosts to trap you, on your last life, no less.

So while this game is difficult, it is a fun kind of difficult.

Nice review.  I have this game and it is a fun one.  I like the trippy colors but I didn't find it difficult I breezed through it and got all the achievements quickly but the fact that I completed it shows that I did get great enjoyment from the game.

This is a great review, especially for a Pac-Man game. It's good that you didn't say a lot about each category because the review might have gotten boring if you did that. I love this review's title and intro! I have the demo of this game on my phone and it's pretty fun even though I can only play one of the modes and I can only last around 4.5 minutes out of 5.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I still need like... 4 or 5 achievements for this game. I know I need 2 or 3 of the ones for completing the 10 minute "maps" ( every time, I get down to like... 3 minutes left. One time, I literately had 15 seconds left. )
I also need the achievement for 400,000 points. Not sure if I have the one for 200,000 points or not.

But for a cheap Pac-Man game for the XBOX 360, it really is not a bad title.

What I don't understand is why do you still rate it to be a 6.8 for this game, when you have been complimenting it for it's visuals and it's unique sounds as well as how fun it is? Even for difficulty you mentioned about how fun it is, even though it's hard. Unless you really put story to be a big deal for a pac-man game?

play4fun : I usually get my overall scores from average out all the other scores. That is just how I get my overall scores. I find it fair to calculate that way. That's all there is to it.
