Whoa, how in the world did I get top 5 for blue? I thought there were more people way above me. Honestly, I never knew what the jerseys/highlighted name backgrounds until now when I got tagged. This is a great accomplishment for me. Hopefully I can still hang onto the top 5.

The 2nd time it happened to me. There is also some more but I don't really have to take pictures of everything. That new red/green jersey really motivates for contribution to the site.

Competition is really getting interesting, pacman is getting red almost every day, tgags is maintaining rainbow, and thing1 manages to keep blue in his grasp, and possibly yellow as well. With just about half the month left to go, things are most definitely getting interesting....yes indeed...

If I had the motivation to post as much as I did in prior TDV, I would have the yellow in my grasp, but my time is over, and I am going to do what I can to scrape together a few points.

A very competitive day!

It seems like it will take me 2 or 3 more days to break into the top 5. I should have had it a few days ago, but kramer keeps on ruining those plans.

This has definitely been a tough Tour de Vizzed to compete in. Usually things aren't so competitive this far into the competition so the fact that there are still users taking this seriously is a great thing. After yesterday I'm starting to re-think my plans of winning one of the overall Jerseys lol.

I'll be making some CP adjustments tonight because there are some CP actions which award out way to many points such as screenshot rating and review rating. The plan is to make CP actions award an average of 10 CP per an hour worth of work but some CP actions award out 50-100 for an hour worth of work.

Davideo7 : That kind of thing would actually make this a lot more fair, because if you think about it... the CP jerseys are just there for the staff. I bet you 75% of all the Top 5 finishers of each day throughout this competition have been staff of some sort, which makes it easier to them.

Just a suggestion here, but maybe next TdV, keep the new jerseys, but add the old ones back, to make it a total of 6 jerseys. I remember before I left you were contemplating adding new jerseys... I think that with the new CP jerseys, added with the old ones that the CP ones replaced would make for a very interesting competition.

If The green jersey was how it used to be, I'd be winning this. Giving staff an easy jersey really isn't fair to non staff members as we can't even get that jersey.

thing1 : The old Red and Green Jersey were just abused too much, I don't think I ever want to add them back. Plus, 6 Jerseys is just too much and there's no room for 2 more Jerseys.

It's true that the staff have an advantage when it comes to the CP Jerseys (and I personally think they deserve that) but it's not as big of an advantage as what people think. The only reason there are a lot of staff in the top 5 and top 10 is because the staff do more work for the site than non-staff. A non-staff member can do just as much work as a staff member if they want, all of the top paying CP actions are available to staff and non-staff.

Anyone has a shot at the CP Jerseys, the users who do the most work for the site are the ones who win those Jerseys and usually those are the type of users I want as staff so it only makes sense that those are the type of users who usually are staff.

Davideo7 : no, everyone has a shot for the red. The green, no. If you look at the cp actions page, all of the ones that give you a ton of actions are staff only, making it easier for the staff to get more actions. Plus, they get more actions a day then people like me and thing1

Davideo7 : I get where you are coming from, but it really should be more of an even based competition, not a "you have an advantage because you are staff" competition. Maybe something along the lines of CP actions that can only be done by staff only award half CP for the competition part of the site, but they still get full credit on their record?

For example, let's use "Article" for example. I have wrote a few articles, but because I am not a staff, I can not earn CP for this, and I find this unfair. However, staff can write an article, and receive the CP. So, let's say they earn 75.0 CP for their Article. For the TdV purposes, they would only receive half credit, or 37.5 CP for the competition, but, for their CP profile, they would still get the full 75.0 CP.
I think that this would make the TdV a little bit more fair towards non staff members competing in the TdV, while the staff still get full credit for their contributions.
