mourinhosgum : From now on, we wont be adding characters with " in their name, instead we'll just do '. Any character with a ' in their name should work now.

You can enter in whatever you want for the bios as long as it's brief, like no more than a paragraph.

The first appearance field doesn't need to be filled in if the franchise field is already filled in.

That's a really tough call. I suppose pictures of characters that don't already exist within the game can be allowed.

Do a hard refresh (CTRL+F5) and it should update the character list.

Singelli : Try entering that character in now, that should no longer be a problem.

Currently it's not going to be possible to link to the game page of first appearance since the game character isn't being linked to the game by the game's id so the script has no idea where the game's page is if it doesn't have the game's id. I'll figure out a solution to this problem in the future.

I personally like profile screenshots. Screenshots of really small characters maybe shouldn't count but there's no way to automate that. I say that if you can't pick out what the character is, then it shouldn't count. The only solution to that problem is to down rate those screenshots since screenshots with a rating of 1 or 2 don't get counted by my script.

When creating profiles of characters with " in their name, just use ' for now.

Davideo7 : I'm having the weirdest error right now. . . So there's a character named Pinky that is part of the Bust-A-Move series. I've added her to the database, but when I try to tag her onto a screenshot, I'm typing "Pinky [Bust-A-Move]" but it keeps adding her to Pac-Man! This is quite a head scratcher. I can't even fathom why it's doing that.

I've done over 4000 tags at this point, so I know what I'm doing. It's just being weird for this one character. . .

Edit: Seems like it's happening to more than just that character. Hrm. . . Seems like characters with identical names from different series don't get tagged properly to the right series even if I specify it's the one from that series.

I also noticed that there's a Franchise page for both Bust a Groove and Bust-A-Move, those are the same franchise, correct?

Davideo7 : Yay, good, I'll have to test that out myself.

No, Bust a Groove is a different series from Bust a Move. Bust a Move is the puzzle series and Bust a Groove is a rhythm series. They just have similar names, and oddly enough, both have a character named Pinky, but that's just coincidental.
