Can you tell me which kind of music is this?
Bomberman Hero's soundtrack is amazing, but in which music genre tracks like "Redial" and "Foehn" fit the most?

I'm a big fan of alternative/hardcore electronic music, so I'm always looking out for games that use genres associated with the scene in their soundtrack. One of the most notable probably is Hudson Soft's Bomberman Hero for the Nintendo 64 (which I proudly possess), which has an extra-groovy electronic OST composed by series mainstay Jun(e) Chiki Chikuma.

Boy, do I LOVE this soundtrack! The game itself is an excellent 3D platformer built around an arcade-y mindset (which many people consider to be the game's biggest flaw, unlike me), but the soundtrack deserves special mention. See, I don't like the N64's soundchip (and MIDI-based ones in general) very much, but I love the way Ms. Chikuma used it in Hero, creating some truly memorable electronic tunes that I tend to listen on my free time.

But the thing is... The electronic music/EDM scene is massive, and there are many genres, sub-genres and "different takes" spread all around it. As I stated before, Bomberman Hero's soundtrack is amazing, but sadly it's also very small, with only a few songs that alternate themselves through the game's huge number of stages. So, tired of listening to the game's tunes (for some time, of course), I decided to look for similar songs. The users at Hardcore Gaming 101's "Soundtracks" sub-forum told me that Hero's OST could be best categorized as DnB (Drum 'N Bass, for the uninformed), so I decided to look for songs of the same genre and found this.

The mix is great and all, but this NOT what I was looking for! But then I remembered that the Japanese EDM scene is quite different than the western one, so I decided to look for Japanese Drum 'N Bass. I found this, and while it's definitely better than the last mix (it has more of a hardcore approach, it seems), it's still not what I'm looking for!

So, can you hardcore-EDM-savvy Vizzers please help me by telling me which electro genre Jun Chikuma used as inspiration for this amazing game's soundtrack, or at least point me to the right direction? Thanks in advance!
