This is a classic masterpiece. I know the nerd had problems with a couple of the jumps, who doesnt they were just badly designed.
But I remeber when I first played this game and each time I did I was practically quivering wiht excitement, I do absolutely think all those all of those games in those days made me feel like that and I was very excited to have been granted the magnificent opportunity to play the game here.
It has great game play and is easy to pick up, with as I mention some flaws, but that was common to games then - and now.
It is a real gem with fine graphics and sound for the time - Heroes in a Half Shell - Its got Turtle Power.
I found it quite addictive with variety and lots of different types of action. You can play the game as a variety of characters all authentic to the screen. Michaelagelo, Donatello, Leanoardo and Rapheal. What a delight and a treat for us is in store when we unleash the power - Turtle power.
For those that don't know they were mutated form rejected pet turtles by mutagen from shredder and krang released from dimension x. It also mutated master chung and turned him in to a rat like man creature with still awesome power.
They each have a weapon of choice, bo, nunchuk, staff, sai and sword but they never kill anyone and only fight with robot clones. Rock it steady and bebop a loo bop are mutated pig like hogs and rhino but they are not very clever and easy to defeat.
You can play as a teenage mutant ninja turtle and not a teenage mutant hero turtle, so it is as authentic as you can get and I really appreciate small attention to detail very much indeed and that is what makes this game feel and play right.
I like the rolling jumps and the feel of this game and think its timeless.
I hope you enjoy playing it too.
The music and sounds are excellent and being the game alive. Cowabunga dude, its pizza time for sure!
Shredder is funny and the turtles are great characters that make the transition from the screen to games and retro gaming perfectly. What a great console conversation.
