Pretty upset about England getting eliminated. I'm surprised by the poor performance of a lot of teams. Some of the minor teams are playing much better than anyone expected.

USA vs Portugal today. I'd say Portugal will win but with the way this world cup is going, Portugal's poor performance in their match against German and USA's improvement; this could go either way.

Blubcreator : I agree, Spain lost from the Netherlands and drawed with Mexico, Italy has lost from Costa Rica, The Netherlands crushed Spain but almost lost from Australia and so on. The minor teams are pretty good and I think that Mexico and Chile could get better.

Blubcreator : I think that USA has a very good chance of winning, since Portugal lost 4-0 against Germany. Germany is good, but I've always been under the impression that Portugal was also good. Go USA. And what are your opinions on the USA versus Germany match later (Thursday?)

USA and Germany could play out a draw to ensure they both qualify on five points from their group
It might be in the interests of the USA to try to win the group thus avoiding Belgium in the next round

Yes, we won from Chile! Also, our opponents this Sunday will be Mexico, who are quite a strong team since they beat Croatia with 3-1. I didn't watch Brazil-Cameroon but I wasn't too surprised with the score (4-1 for Brazil) but I was surprised that Cameroon made a goal against Brazil, they are the first team that has done that so far.

That is just STUPID. Those were immensly bias refs in that game. Once again luis suarez hasn't been fed and bites someone and cries cause his teeth hurt. Cavani does some wrestling move on a guy and throws him on the ground. No call. They scored off of a corer they got from luis suarez being unsure of what human flesh tastes like a bites him.

Will FIFA ban Suarez for the alleged biting incident?
If they do ban him and don't ban Balanta for the deliberate (and more obvious) elbow on Okazaki in the Colombia v Japan match then that would be very unfair on Uruguay who play Colombia in the next round

It would also put out a message that it is ok to elbow people in the face as long as you don't bite them

If they subsequently relent and ban Balanta for his deliberate and unseen elbow, then you know Van Der Gaal will put pressure on FIFA to ban Neymar from the Brazil v Netherlands match for his deliberate and unseen elbow on Modric in the opening match between Brazil and Croatia

FIFA set a dangerous precedent in refusing to review the Neymar incident

I am not trying to defend any of these players' actions, I think they should all be banned because there is no place for biting or elbowing in the game

FIFA may have to not ban Suarez if they want Neymar to stay in the competition

Elbowing is despicable and can potentially kill people and they should do everything they can to stamp this out of the game
Letting Neymar away with it was a terrible decision and it would be the height of hypocrisy to ban one player for biting and not the others for elbowing

Best part about this is the fact that a Norwegian guy won $900 for making a $5  that suarez would bite someone this world cup

Funny thing is, I really liked Suarez in the past. I thought his play in the last world cup where he hand-balled the ball deliberately inside the goal area was a brilliant gambit that paid off. I honestly thought he was essentially just sacrificing himself for the good of the team (which, again it worked!). Sure people hated that he did it, but it's not like he 'got away with it' as he was punished via the red card.

Then I started watching games he was in. Racist comments? Maybe it was a misunderstanding...
Didn't shake hands with the guy whom he made racist comments to? I watched a slow mo video that showed the guy pulling away when Suarez offered it, so Suarez moved on.
Then he was constantly getting in trouble which sounded like he had anger issues. I followed him on facebook, and it felt like every few weeks, I heard he was apologizing for something. It got annoying so I stopped following him, and figured... well I can like him as a player and not a person, right?

Biting though? Seriously? It's getting hard to think much of you, Suarez. And to think I was going to spend a lot of money on an official jersey of yours!
