I'm forgetting my great thread, time to reply.

thenumberone : Me too, my life would be ruined if I can't live near to the sea. The water here is pretty cold, you are lucky if it is warmer than 20 degrees Celsius.

EideticMemory : At they Y? What's that? Exercising always help, my arms aren't the strongest too but I have decent arm muscles if I say so myself ^-^

Chindogu : Haha, no problem

juuldude : Oh, sorry. "The Y" is another name for the YMCA, a worldwide non-profit. Its motto is to help you get a healthy "body, mind, and spirit". Basically it has a bunch of different exercising opportunities, a few of which include: the Gym, a swimming pool, and a few basketball courts. It offers lessons too.

I go there for the Gym these days, but I've been a member of the Y for over a decade. It's a really great place.

EideticMemory : Oh, thanks for explaining. It's a Christian association? We don't have it here in the Netherlands or at least, I've never heard of it. It sounds really cool though

Nope. I'm probably the weakest, if not the second weakest, in my class. If I exercised more I'd probably be stronger, but working out tends to bore me. Plus, I get embarrassed.

juuldude : That it is. You only see evidence of that historically, though. In all the years I've been there, I've never heard any instructor or staff bring up religion.

The most I've seen is inspirational bible verses on the walls, which I wouldn't expect anyone to have a problem with.

Gamin'Gal : I might have an idea what you mean. There is a girl in our class who doesn't do any sports and she can't run for very long (running 5-10 minutes exhausts her), I hope it's not that bad for you. I think there is a sport you like but you probably haven't found it yet. If you find one you'll see differences after some time and that would be great

EideticMemory : Do you exercise there because you are a Christian? Or are you not a Christian? Also, I think that Bible versions don't hurt anyone, so that won't be a problem.

Oh no, I've found a couple of sports that I love, but I'm just not very good at them. Neither sport helps my strength, just my flexibility (which isn't a bad thing).

Gamin'Gal : Flexibility isn't bad indeed. Which sports did you try? If you want to get stronger then maybe swimming is something for you since you use all your muscles and have you ever seen a skinny Olympic swimmer?

I've done Basketball, Volleyball and Baseball consistently. I enjoy all three of them, though Basketball is less so.
I've done swimming before too, but I never really had fun with it. I enjoy it every once in a while, but it's not fun enough for me to do on a team or anything.

Not really. I'm usually that guy who isn't really strong at all. Although running is pretty nice. There's no sport I currently play, and I'm not the best at anything that requires physical work. :

Gamin'Gal : Hmm, have you ever tried a martial arts? Maybe you would like it although you've never thought about it. You could try tennis too.

soldierboi159 : That's sad to hear Anyways, you like running? Are you fast?

I'd say that I'm pretty strong, cause' I go to the gym properly (only if my dad go to)
But, I can't lift my school schedule at sunday, it's bad you know

And I can breathe anyway, who cares about being muscular and athletic. I'm not going to be a wrestling athlete anyway

Eh, I do not think that I would consider myself "strong" necessarily. Especially not when considering my upper body, I have a very limited upper body strength that I can tap into. The majority of my strength comes from the lower half, and my legs are especially strong. I like to run and bike and do other such things, and they have certainly gained some degree of strength over the years. Strong enough for what I am used to doing, at least.

juuldude : I have not done any sport for a while. The last time I really competed on any sort of team was when I did soccer in seventh grade. Oh man, was that hellish. Everyone was a total jerk. See, around here, everyone only cares if you win, so even if you have fun, you really cannot have fun because everyone else always jeers at you if you do poorly, and it takes all the fun out of the game. I also played some basketball occasionally with my friends, but that was the same thing. I tried baseball, and again, the same crap just kept showing up. I would have some fun, and then the people would act like total jerks because I was not all that great at it. It was infuriating, so I quit trying. Again, the majority of what I do is running and biking, but even then, I cannot do that for very long. I can run for a mile or two, but not so much more than that, I can bike for around five miles, but that still seems pitiful. Regardless, my leg strength has improved significantly over the years because of it. I am going to do cross country next year, so I am trying to build up for that. Maybe I will become even stronger, faster, and run for longer periods of time. I also did Karate, but I was always behind everyone else. I was never able to keep up. I was always significantly weaker than the other people, and I could not find the courage to perform well in front of others. See, I normally get embarrassed when I exercise. I do not know why, but it happens. Even though the people were nice, I just was not able to keep up and handle the onlooking/embarrassment. If I do get a chance, I would like to try Kendo. It seems like Kendo could be pretty fun, and it would help because I would be wearing gear, allowing myself to remain virtually hidden. If I have on some sort of equipment that hides myself, then I can perform better, and I would not be anywhere near as embarrassed. Either way, I am pretty pathetic, it seems.
