I want to score this higher but it has a few flaws and really is not my most favorite game. So let's being this review


Graphics 7
Ok I loved the graphics. They were good for the time period this game was designed in. Animal crossing (the American release) came out around the time Nintendo was going from the 64 to the cube. And this game shows elements of both systems. But that is all I can really say that is good. Here is my problem with the game. THE COLOR SCHEME. The colors are just way to bright. They almost look clownish. At least that is what I think. 

Sound 6
Well I have said this in other reviews but I will say it again. I hate game music but I really hate this game music. It is the same annoying song over and over again. Even with the little dog playing his songs, they aren't any better. 

Addictiveness 5
Not very. I can't say that this game has a lot to that draws me back. I do like how time moves and if you go away for say a week or two the characters noticed. Also weeds grow to show how much time has passed. More weeds grow when your not playing. However with the game you quickly run out of things to do. On holidays and certain days there is a bit more to do but beside running around and digging up weeds you really don't have much. 

Story 4
Ok so the story starts out you are moving out on your own and you have to get a house work to pay for it and then nothing. Really nothing. I remember one game I started. I put the theory to the test that you could never pay off your house and nothing would happen. Turns out it was true. Other then working to get a bigger house there isn't much of a story. Some people have said that there is a way to become mayor. But I've had this game since it came out and nothing. I have paid my house off to max level and still nothing. Among other plot lines you can rebuild the museum but the game doesn't give you much of a reason why you should. Other then keeping record of your own collection there is no reason. 

Depth 5
Ok so this game for being a game cube game and being what it was was kind of nice. Sadly that was not very best that could have came out of this game. They could have done so much more and it wasn't until a second Gen of this game had came out did that make use of the gateways. And for the space you are given much of it is unused. I get it is meant to be a village even for a village it is lacking.

Difficulty 2
With no plot there is nothing for you to do. As I already said the whole point of this game is pay off your house and while at first it may seem hard to do you will quickly learn ways to make money and find the house is paid off in no time. This game is all around lacking.

Okay this was a decent review. My biggest complaint is the wording. The wording made it very hard to read and understand. But it had good details and was a good length. Maybe adding a few perks about the game. Because pretty much every game as something that is good about it and worth talking about.
