I'd quite like to learn Japanese. My boyfriend is actually learning Japanese right now, but I've been wanting to learn it myself for a while because I've always wanted to work in the video games industry and the tech industry, and of course both of those have very comfortable business ties with Japan.

Crawldragon : I like Nintendo and although there is a headquarter in Germany I would rather learn Japanese to work in the headquarter in Tokyo so I understand what you mean.

My favorite language is American Sign Language (ASL), it is better than making a noise coming out of your throat. xD

I would like to be able to speak arabic Firstly, it will help me a lot in speaking with others in real life, as well as understanding the "environment" here(living in riyadh, saudi arabia since birth and yet I don't know enough to understand the boards, signs, what arabic people be talking about etc. )
Second reason is a more personal one i.e. understanding quran(holy book of islam)

Finally, the language itself is amazing! Sometimes one word is enough for a sentence. While there is a standard arrangement of words in a sentence, you can arrange the words in a sentence in as many ways as possible and meaning won't be altered (you can use the factorial thing to calculate possible arrangements. That way it's possible to have 120 5-word sentences using same words and have same meaning). Meaning of the sentence comes from the very letters and vowels used(vowels in arabic are used above or below a consonant letter) so you can fine-tune your sentence to address to exactly one, two or "three and more" person(s) using a single letter in its appropriate position, show tense using certain vowel arrangement on consonants, and some more things, and you can have a sentence meaning exactly what you want to tell, using few letters and words.

While I would love to learn all languages there are existing and have existed, the real life limits me severely on what languages I can learn, and because of rule of this post, I won't tell about the other language I would like to learn.

faisal.97 : Yeah, the real life limits are troubling me too And I said that you can pick one language but since most people did more than one I guess you can do it too. Arabic sounds interesting but I don't think that I will ever learn it as I'm not as interested in it as other languages.

Oh yes, I read somewhere that learning a new language improves your brain. This is what I read at a certain website:

That's pretty awesome. I wonder if that could help elderly people avoid Alzheimer's then. Though the older you are the harder it is the learn a new language, it may still be useful.

I'd like to learn Japanese, Arabic, Ancient Greek, and French. I took a few French classes the past year at collage, but I'm not good at learning other languages.

Yeah unfortunately a lot of research has suggested that the younger you are the easier it is to learn a language (such as in the study). However, I would think it should never stop people learning a new language, and it could be useful to engage the brain activity in older people more susceptible to Alzheimer's.

I know bits of German (from my father who was stationed there) and other bits of languages, but unfortunately not fluent in any other but English.
