Irish, or Gaelic, or Irish Gaelic, depending on who you ask. Either way, I want to learn Irish, and then Japanese. Irish because, well, I'm Irish. And Japanese because it could be useful for a game developer to know Japanese, since so much of so many game companies are in Japan. That, and I can play all of the fun Japan only import games then. xD

Lavendertowngirl : Have you ever been to France? Or does the language just interest you?

Eirinn : Well, that explains why your profile picture is an Irish flag How much do English and Irish differ? And Japanese, like most people here, to read manga and play video games? Nice

juuldude : No idea. I'm Irish by blood, but I live in the United States. Sadly, I'm the only member of my family that cares about our heritage, so I know precious little about Ireland and Irish people in general.

And yeah, playing the games would be a nice perk. xD I mostly want to learn it for communication purposes though.

Lavendertowngirl : Ah, that's pretty nice. I'm the only person in my school class who has never been to France and I would like to go once but the rest of my family isn't up to it

Eirinn : That's pretty nice, I can see what you mean, I'm 1/4 Italian but the only one in our family who speaks Italian is my mom so she's also the one who's the most interested in Italy. And yes, Japanese would be useful but I think Chinese too, considering that the Chinese are taking over the world Chinese is the most spoken language in the world (mostly in China itself though).

At one point 2 years ago I tried to learn Russian by myself from a Russian to English dictionary from the library. I was able to pick up quite a few words and get some grammar down, and if I continued for another few months I'm sure I would've been able to finish learning it (as far as you can without being in a country that speaks Russian), but I just kind of quit out of boredom.

But, I would either want to learn German or Japanese. Both of these choices are related to cars... In Germany, theres of course, a lot of car companies like Volsvagen and BMW. I've also always wanted to go to the N?rburgring (the "?" is the U with the 2 dots) and go on the Autobahn. Also not a lot of people know it, but there are a lot of Germans in Florida, which is where I live so I could talk to people who are here on vacation or even recently moved here.

Japanese, because drifting was basically invented there. I know I probably sound like some little kid saying that drifting is awesome, but I'm at the age where if I really wanted to, I could actually invest some money and do it. Lots of car related stuff is Japan. There are race tracks, car meets, and The Midnight Club (car club that requires a top speed of 200 mph). Also some of my foavorite cars are made in Japan by Japanese companies like Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Subaru.

jack3604 : Learning yourself Russian? That's pretty cool! What kind of words did you learn from it?
Yeah, Japan and Germany have a lot of cars, also, it is Volkswagen I didn't know there were many Germans in Florida. You sure know a lot about cars, where does that interest come from?

thejinggler : Archaic Sumerian? Why that? I think that not many people speak that language.

I started learning spanish when I was a kid but I never got a chance to actually finish it. I would honestly like to learn french. I really like the culture and the way it sounds and I think it would be cool to get a chance to learn it.

juuldude : I actually know one phrase in Dutch that I learnt from a Dutch friend. I'm not sure how to type it but to me it's something like "Hur grat het mitjo" e.g. How's it going :-)

I have many Russian friends in real life so I'm going to check my school's language courses for Russian when the semester begins again. Of course I'd love to master Japanese since I only know some basics. I do have to admit that every time I watch anime and understand something without looking at the subtitles it makes me very happy!

Bintsy : C'est bon I started on Spanish as well but stopped at 'tarea 6' as the method was way too difficult. Grammar and words weren't taught separately but together so it was very confusing.

sillysoul : I think you mean 'Hoe gaat het met jou?' which sounds in English a bit like 'Hu gaad hed med ju' I think Still, I know what you meant so your Dutch friend was right
I wish you good luck with Russian! And I know what you mean, sometimes I understand little things in Japanese anime too

juuldude : Well I can't really tell you what I was learning anymore because it was just such a long time ago, but I can still recognize a few words in Russian.

And I don't really know why I like cars... I just kind of do. I love driving my own car, and my first car was a Mitsubishi Eclipse 3rd gen. I just like the noise and the feeling of being shot forward faster than a person could ever move on their own and the rush that you get when you do. I guess it's mostly adrenaline. My favorite kind of racing would either be motocycle style rallies or rally cars themselves. I get so much adrenaline just from watching and hearing the cars on YouTube and stuff.

Currently this is my favorite car: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AQmgeMoM0A
specifically the style at 30 seconds.

This is a close second: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWiFZx1At6Y
For this one I like the first car the most. It is a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII (8)

I could go on forever about these cars, but to keep your thread clean of junk, I won't.

I'm not sure...but I'll would like to learn Russian. They might invade my country and I need to learn how to say "please don't shoot me" ASAP. Granted that my town is a communist town, but you never know.
